from experience, MBB cards have a hard limit of RM250 for MST.
Any amount above that will fail and will not prompt for a PIN.

??? note 9 redemption instant sapu?

i guess a lot of people have BIG points laying around (contests, credit card points conversion) and spay is another way to utilize those points.

If you actually redeem the voucher, you can actually see there are many stores you can use it.

Wow thanks for the info!

Is it only these 9 stores or there are more?

Thinking about buying SSD but not listed in those 9 stores...

There is a Samsung memory authorized partner in prestomall. Just that I am not sure whether the voucher can be used on that store. Hence I asked bludaisy whether there are more stores in the list before I go ahead and redeem the voucher.

https://www.prestomall.com/store/samsungmem...thorizedpartner

Or if there is anyone kind enough to test the voucher on those items in that store, I would really appreciate it!

Yes, this is confirmed. Really upset that they did this.
They cited security risk as an issue for stopping their credit cards from being added to the Samsung smart watches. Do they know something that we don't?
Yes, such a waste indeed. I wished that they would reconsider bringing it back but highly doubtful, just like what happened with their IR blaster.
*
they dropped the headphone jack, heart rate sensor, iris camera too.

i guess MST is already phasing out worldwide and it doesn't make business sense for them to still include it in their phone.

recently noticed that BHP no longer hold RM200 for MBB cards. Once i finished transaction, spay immediately updated the actual amount.

tested caltex, no change.

AMEX is kinda impossible because AMEX doesn't support paywave in Malaysia.

SPay need cards that support paywave.

Frankly, if AMEX can be set into SPay, my points confirm got a lot already.
*
Amex already supports contactless payment in Malaysia. Newly issued AMEX cards by MBB have contactless feature.

Most MCD terminals can accept Amex contactless payment, including self service kiosk. I have also tried Amex contactless with a cimb terminal in isetan KL.

However, I think it is still not widespread enough for spay to adopt it though.

*

I just setup Samsung Pay to my Active 2. Wondering just now try to use it so I key in the PIN which is 4 numbers then can use but I just go back because try only. Then when I open Samsung Pay again I can directly use no need PIN again. If at phone everytime we need to enter PIN or fingerprint. Isn't it a bit dangerous people can take watch and use it?
*
Q. Do I have to enter my secure PIN for each payment?

A. If the Gear is strapped on your wrist, you only have to enter the secure PIN once before all subsequent payments. If you take the Gear off your wrist, you have to enter the secure PIN each time before putting the Gear into payment mode.

this is samsung's official FAQ. i think it applies to watch as well.

i have a note 10+ HK set. samsung pay works, but no reward points for malaysia.

however, i do have a SME galaxy watch. i pair it with my phone, samsung pay works and reward points awarded when i pay with watch. i can also redeem the points. the caveat is, you need to do this via samsung wearables app and then go into samsung pay plugin.
