SME needs to do thorough study on the consequences of abolishing SPay...

If the Thailand news (January 1st post....?) is legit, then, it is a positive action for SME to follow (FMPOV). No point pushing features that is not widely used by end-users and at the same time wasting various in-house resources to maintain the SPay...

SME can see the record of SPay effective registration versus the number of units sold in Malaysia. Say, units (that can SPay) sold so far is 5 million but SPay's registered users is only 500K, it is clearly a positive action to just kill SPay and transfer affected resources to more useful and sustainable departments...

hi newbie here interested in samsung pay and wish to purchase a new samsung phone.

I knew that samsung pay support paywave. However, paywave max limit is RM250 per transaction.
So, my questions are:-
1. Can Bank allow us to change paywave limit?
1. What if I insist to pay more than RM250 via samsung pay, can I do so? The procedure is paywave via phone touch + PIN input?

If use phone and pin, which pin should we use?
The one associated with card, or the one with Spay? (I don't remember if I set pin in Spay or not)

After almost 5 years using gear s3 with spay, finally upgrade to watch 4. But very sad when I found out that spay can only be active on one watch. Lol. If I want to change watch and still use spay on it, I have to activate spay on the the one that I want to wear, and spay on the previous watch will be reset.

Surprisingly not much changes as it is almost similar in terms of user experience. Like they ported most of tizen interface to wear os. But my only wear os watch is zenwatch 2, which has not received the latest version of updates. For all I know, they might have been similar already. Access to apps by swiping up from home screen is nice. The only major changes that I personally don't like is they swapped the home and back button. On gear s3, top button is for spay and back to previous screen, bottom button is home and power options. It's the other way around on watch 4, but long press it's top button will trigger bixby instead. Since I always go back to previous screen than straight to home, it's a bit of adjustment and it's much more comfortable for me when top button is used for back.

Seeing that spay can only be active on one watch, it shouldn't be a problem to getting used to it's new button placement even when I'm alternating between those 2 watches. And speaking of spay, this is my first device without mst so there's a bright reminder that it can only be used on nfc terminals only. Lol.

Ya most shops are using nfc terminals nowadays so shouldn't be much problem. As for restriction / limitation of spay on watch, there's always phone and e-wallet. Though nothing beats the convenience of paying using the watch.

Dunno about that.... The problem is, we can use SPay to enter the parking barrier but cannot exit using SPay... something not configured correctly it seems...

Not surprised. Not too long ago, I still have to grapple with merchant thinking I want to pay using eWallets when I held my phone to make payments and they will look at me with bewilderment. Not getting so much of this now ... only once in a blue moon.

There's a little bit of limitations when using SPay as well.
Not all cards from Malaysian banks are supported. Kindof influenced the card I choose to use regularly.

Been using Spay to enter a few car parks and it's a hit or miss. Only works like 50% of the time. But the problem usually arises at the entry.

If can tap and enter, exit usually no problem also.

Really hope if he can do like redeem point, get eg 50% discount to buy something on official store, lazada and shopee, since he RRP always too high

can we register the same card on 2 spay devices with 2 different samsung account?
