Is it ok and easy to take Grab Car at KLIA2?

I will arrive at KLIA2 with my family and planning to take Grab Car at the arrival gate.

Truthfully, KLIA2 is not that great...

Why is that?

Just book taxi there. Fare is not much different and the driver don’t have attitude.

Until the counter girl tells you to book a limo because normal taxis cannot accommodate 2 adults with 2 medium sized luggage bags.

I always use Grab from both KLIAs, no issue here. Quite fast, just tell them which platform number when picking you up. I dont think ive ever gotten a myvi, mostly sedan cars. Put note with the number of baggage and pax. Helps with getting the right car for your needs.

I always take grab from klia to rawang.. no issue.. still charge me 65..

If with luggage, 2 people book grabcar, 3 people book grabcar plus, 4 ppl book grabcar 6 seater..

Now no more rm65 for rawang, check again

I book grabcar get Saga, Beza, Alza, Honda City
grabcar plus get Preve , Ertiga

order grab plus is better. lucky can get ezora or same league. only rm10 extra. cheaper than 6seater@105RM

Taking metered taxi from klia2 is cheaper than grab if your destination is not more than 50km.

For eg. Puchong- grab -fixed rate -RM65. Using metered taxi - ~RM53 +RM2 for klia2 voucher

That time i came back from Taiwan, use Grab app and Uber.

Uber langsung dont want fetch me.
Grab, multiple try, and finally 1 guy pick me up. but he mistakenly for Old Klang road and Klang LOL.

Grab Gold member here, if 2 adult with 2 24" luggage you still can go for Myvi, if more than that better just take Grab plus or 6 seater.

Btw, Grab drivers mostly want to accept Cash instead grab pay, and this is the worst thing in Malaysia they want fast cash and don't want to wait for the payment. So if you want the driver accept your order fast, then pay cash, else just keep sending request till someone willing to accept the job

So far i only experienced 1 time taxi from KLIA back to Gombak area, and the driver gave me a very bad experience, ever since that i swear i will not take any taxi in this country anymore

Need to go KLIA2 this Sat and come back on Tues. Saturday is afternoon and Tues quite late at night at 10 something. Travel from Old Klang Road.

From klia, all metered unless u take limousine (black coloured taxi). Metered are those with the normal black/white dilipitated taxis.

Just opt for metered taxi instead of limousine (fixed rate). Nevertheless for gombak, better take grab since it's fixed at rm65. Metered taxi only good for distance below 60km

ERL...use visa paywave 15% or just do putrajaya station trick

Erl is the fastest for sure and good for alone. Klia2 buses are even cheaper if not during peak.

From my experience taking uber/grab from KLIA2, drivers will call you and ask you how many persons, big/small luggage.

Cheapest option - someone drive you to KL Sentral then take bus to KLIA2, the bus fare is RM13, same way when you back from KLIA2, but this may lead some extra time due to the traffic condition

Moderate option - someone drive you to KL Sentral, then take ERL, RM55, sometimes got 10% discount on mobile \ online \ VISA, smooth and fast, no traffic congested issue (except the route from your home to KL Sentral), slightly cheaper then Grab (RM65 + tol)

Easy and relax option - Grab \ MyCar from your door step till KLIA2, RM65 (RM55 for MyCar) + tol (Choose your preferred route), no need think of changing the transport, direct reach the KLIA2

Actually Alza not bad, myself 2 adults + 2 26" luggage + 1 18" luggage + 2 backpack still can sit in comfort

Another experience is 5 adults + 2 18" luggage + 5 backpack, still can sit comfortable, but i got pay extra to the uncle driver coz we feel shame to fit so many things in his car

It only becomes problem when you have more than 5 adults

kena rip off once by bluecab coz the counter say coupon or fixed fare not available and follow meter ...knn ended up 200++ for my trip back to ampang...no next time..

Cannot be. Take down the name of the counter staff and file a complain to spad.

Cheapest option is to park at Salak Tinggi erl stn (RM5/overnight) and rm3/day (if not 24hrs). And take erl at rm4.90

Safer you book the larger category Grabcar lah. Grab drivers they hungry for business they will just accept whatever job, they dunno how big is your luggage mah. To them, "arrive only see".

I also did that at Ho Chi Minh City, 2 adults + 2 big luggage bags, the driver who accepted drive Kia Morning (Kia Picanto in Malaysia). Betul betul have to squeeze.

next time maybe can consider using Grab. fix price + reliable too. even tho sometimes my request got cancelled because quite far from KLIA2. some driver just target driving to near area only.

Drivers got no choice la. They have to accept if not affect acceptance rate. Besides, how big is big? Driver will never know .

To TS u can request for Grab easily at KLIA . Tons of drivers there.

But pls if u many luggage or very big luggage, pls put at the note there.

I duno what is easier: getting Grab at KLIA2 or losing your money to lottery.

Can a Myvi take 2 normal checked-in luggages with 2 adults? You don't need to own a myvi to know how small the luggage space is. There is a reason the rider put "2 adults + 2 big luggages" in the "notes to driver".

The driver cannot see your note when accepting, they only see pickup point and drop-off point. Only after accepting then they can see the notes, and the notes are not very obvious if the driver is new or not very wary of such thing. The system will not read your note and find a better car for you. Why is it so hard to Grab a GrabPlus instead?

Speaking on behalf of Grab drivers, it is considered rude to cancel ones’ trip, and more importantly the driver’s rating will drop, which is very crucial for a driver. The system does not penalize the user, only the driver.

For me, if I’m traveling alone or with only one companion, usually I’ll take the ERL, buy a two-way ticket, u can save Rm20 or Rm30.

Get a coupon taxi. You some time got a spacious exora. Grab nowdays as expensive as taxi

Those shud not be grab. Grab has a designated waiting area. Need to be in that area to receive queue number

Book via grabcar+, "Eh you 4 people i cannot take, my car 2013 built, too old for long journey" - accepted us using honda city
Book via grabcar+ using other gal's phone, Driver of alza accepted without question, bt soon leaving roundabout of the rest area, the driver round few times and drive back to rest area

When you question these driver, they said " cannot see driver request in the beginnning unless accept booking"

Book via uber, come without issue and take all of us, no question asked

You do know there are too many grab drivers now? They dont want then just find someone else, there are smarter people that knowing waiting not doing anything is a waste of time that they could be earning

whatever you chose to pick, let me remind you that the cost will total up with how many toll u pass along the way. so rm65 may end up being rm70 or more depending on how many tolls. later dont give the grab driver 1 star rating and claim they scammed you. grab management does the rule. not grab driver.
