It feels like everyone is wasted here. I thought the characters was handled really well. Sure only Thanos got his 3-act structure, but we know everyone else at this point. The way they handled Thor in particular after Ragnarok is brilliant. You can't have goofy Thor, so lets put him through a tragedy. And at the same time you can't have him be fully serious that would invalidate his characterization in Ragnarok, so they make him interact with GOTG.

I agree though with your previous comments that it does kinda messy coz got too many characters involved but still not too bad IMHO. Some of the weak points of this movie IMHO are: 1. Thanos generals somehow got beaten too easily, especially the one that captured Dr. Strange. He was so powerful in the initial encounter yet the way he was killed off by Iron Man was just pathetic. 2. How come Hulk becomes so difficult to come out, yet in the beginning of the movie he was able to attack Thanos? 3. Dr. Strange can turn back time but why he did not when fighting Thanos and trying to get his powerful glove with stones off? 4. Thor was way too late at the end to stab Thanos. Where was he when all the while the rest had been scrambling to protect Vision?? He should've been in the fight a bit earlier. 1. He got outsmarted by 2 of the smartest character in MCU. I think it's fair that he lost. 2. Because Hulk is basically a giant baby whose ego gets crushed. It fits his character established in Ragnarok make the most interesting character arc for him in A4. 3. Strange saw over 4mil possibilities and there's only 1 instance that they won. His entire action on Titan after Thanos arrived was just him re-enacting the winning timeline. 4. Thor was busy mopping up the aliens and their spaceships. Plus him, Rocket and Groot didn't have a communicator like the rest of the superheroes. This post has been edited by ray148: May 2 2018, 07:43 PM

His old self at the end is just him traveling from this alternate timeline. How can he travel to our timeline when the time already synced up?
