I always made cream cheese spicy tuna for sandwich. And it's super creamy-licious!

You'll need a can of ayam brand chili tuna, both 3 chili or 5 chili level of spiciness will do. Discard the excess oil and cili padi, scoop out the tuna flakes and put them in a mixing bowl.

For optimal taste use Arla herbs & spices cream cheese, it has a more robust flavor and blends well with your tuna. Just empty the content of one tub 150g cream cheese into the bowl and mix thoroughly with the tuna. Ready to serve with breads.

Alternatively you can use Emborg cream cheese as well. Use only half a tub of the cream cheese, about 100g and mix well with the tuna.

This recipe actually yields quite a lot. For that one can chili tuna mixed with cream cheese you can serve with almost one loaf of bread, but you can keep it properly covered in the fridge. I suppose you can replace cream cheese with plain yogurt but i never try that.

Creamy, flaky and spicy all spread on a slice of bread.

Indeed, i always looking for simple and delicious recipe to prepare. Tuna cream cheese is not something new, western countries have been mixing it with pasta and using it as spread. However, their version usually calls for tuna chunks in oil or water and the taste depends on extra ingredients added.

Thankfully we are blessed with this spicy chili tuna which packs a lot of flavor and spiciness. Without the need of other ingredients, cream cheese and chili tuna are the only things you need. The volume depends on how much cream cheese you add, if you use Emborg you can use 1/3 or 67g of a tub and the tuna spread still tastes great and creamy.

Speaking of taste, do not ever compare it with tuna mayonnaise. This cream cheese spicy tuna is on a completely different level. Thanks to the creamy texture of cream cheese, the consistency rather resembles smashed avocado and if you ever had cheese tea or cheese cake, then its taste is somewhere along the line, the spiciness kicks in during first bite and will heighten if you keep going. That's for sure.

I must say this recipe worth a try, if you like the idea of cream cheese perfectly married with spicy tuna. But i must emphasize only use cream cheese as its taste is difficult to substitute. I've tried with plain cooking yogurt and it was unpleasant, very watery and lumpy. Maybe i should have used greek yogurt which is more thick and creamy. But cream cheese will always turns out to be so perfectly, it's a failproof recipe anyway.
