QUOTE(diwant @ Jun 23 2007, 10:02 AM) HDRi (High Dynamic Range imaging) is a set of techniques that allow a far greater dynamic range of exposures (i.e. a large range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to the deepest shadows.See more info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging See many great sample here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/hdr This post has been edited by philipcs: Jun 23 2007, 10:33 AM |

ReEDIT: philipscs ah.... still don't understand how to make HDR photos from the links laa.. seems complicated, can you briefly share with us how you make ur HDR photos of the Langkawi trips kah? Truely apprecitate..... very tempting.. 1) mount your camera on your tripod 2) make use of your camera self timer because when you press the shutter will contribute shake and caused your photos misalign. 3) take few photos with different exposure ( EV -2, EV -1, EV 0, EV +1 & EV +2 total of 5 shots) 4) use a software called "photomatix" to combine all these photos into HDR photo. See here for how to use photomatix: http://www.vanilladays.com/hdr-guide/ 5) after that, use photoshop to adjust level and color saturation if you want. That's all This post has been edited by philipcs: Jun 23 2007, 05:39 PM |

Wow! All the pics looks sooo nice. I like the grasshopper shot. Didn't it run for its life when you approach it?
Your camera performs very well even at ISO 1600 where you took the Playful Boy picture. This post has been edited by mengsuan: Jun 26 2007, 02:54 AM |

In fact this little guy stay at this plant since morning until evening plus many leaves missing (kena makan already Your camera performs very well even at ISO 1600 where you took the Playful Boy picture. when see at full size, actually ISO1600 got quite a lot of noise especially at the shadow area. i think as long as avoid shadows at ISO1600, the photo will look less noisy This post has been edited by philipcs: Jun 26 2007, 08:51 AM |

in my honest opinion, ur pic is an example that the person who takes the pic is more important than the camera itself. ur compo is very great, u have an eye for photography. i wish i had eyes like yours.
the next step for u i think, is to switch to DSLR... |
