you can either use 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack at the headphone out. Or u can use the lineout of the ipod by using a custom cable. You can ask this guy to make for you:

custom cable

The link is no longer working. Mind to post again? I am looking for such device (ipod line out to stereo mini).
None of the shop in Low Yat Plaza carry such product. sad.gif

i pod jack is universal (use the headphone jack )
so if your car has an normal input then any normal cable will suffice
(something like the one you connect from your pc to ur speaker will do)
however...sound quality is only so so
if you have cash to spend then perhaps you should check out some Head Units that has a ipod interface

Alpine , Pioneer and Panasonic carry models with such functions
cables are around rm 150 to rm 200
cheers!

yes, you can use the headphone jack. But the output from the headphone jack is not really comparable to the lineout.

hm...Ok...if the one on your earphone jack should be a 3.5mm jack since that is a standard for ipods and most mp3 players. The one on the radio (i assume the HU), it can be rca or the 3.5mm jack. If the size of the jack is the same as the earphone jack, than the wire you need is 3.5mm to 3.5mm connector which can be bought it most electrical shops.

this is the rca. To put it simple it is the one where you usually connect your dvd, vcd players

NWay, if anyone knows how to make my clarion unit in wira change to cdchanger mode please let me know because im gona tried it once again the things that i mentioned about connecting to port labelled a and b.....

of coz im thinkin of buyin cheap cd/mp3 player from sony or etc as my final option. but, i can cut down the cost if i can make those things done without needed of buyin new hu.. laugh.gif laugh.gif

Hm.....from what I can see, you are definitely gonna need the 3.5mm (ipod heaphone out) to rca male. For now I assume you know rca is which one oredi. the male and female part...just consider the male got batang the female got lubang. tongue.gif

Ok, the one labeled A and B, try to look for AUX in or auxilary. As for the cd changer, I'm not sure whether anything else other than the cd changer can be used or not.

btw, the HU you using is it the same as the old waja?

ok....if you have about 400 to use.....why dont you top up a little extra to get an Alpine or a Panasonic head unit...

panasonic:

CQ-C3305W about rm 500+
CQ-C5305W about 600 +

panasonic cables (for the Ipod) is about 150-200

Alpine:

i was quoted rm 550-600

CDE-9870E

cable about 150-180

i would recommend this set up as sound quality is much better and you can change your songs without touching your ipod(so just keep it in the glove compartment or something). it also charges you ipod while connected

i hope this helps!

yeah, should be ok if you are not that really that hardcore for SQ. Get pioneer. All of the new model have aux in infront, so you can plug in your ipod easily. 3.5mm to 3.5mm should cost less than 10 bux. No need to buy those expensive cables. Got different in the SQ, however, for most of the people, they couldn't be bother also
