If reapply other thermal paste they should already know right. Example, the stock thermal paste is white and reapply with AS5 that gray in color.

For sure total lost to Shawty's mark coz u use AMD X2. If u used c2d @ 3.8 GHz u will get similar score to him.

QUOTE(Games For Windows @ Aug 10 2007, 11:27 PM) I would like to ask, is there an 8600 GTS graphics card that has more than 256Mb DDR3 memory, such as 320Mb ? Also, which brand assures top performance (Googling around, its hard to make a solid comparison), XFX, MSI, Asus, Galaxy ? I am seriously thinking of purchasing an 8600 GTS GPU for my Pentium D 3.2GHz machine with 2Gb memory. There is 512MB version from Palit Super edition, but no where can find in LYP. |

So the max oc differ around 600 3dmark06 between OE and UE. Wonder what if translate to real world gaming. Not worth for UE since the price is RM120 more and the performance only around 3~5%.

QUOTE(tonny @ Aug 29 2007, 10:33 PM) Hi all nVidia8 experts, Whay OS are u using now? Maybe if VISTA u need at least 2GB and dual core for gaming pleasant.I'm using Asus 8600GT 256mb (official 162.18 driver), do you've experience that when you play games like C&C3 or Supreme Commander, it will freeze randomly between 30 minutes to 1 hr ? I've go through the nVidia forum, but seems many people also face the same situation for 8600GT. Last week I've replaced my Acbel 350W PSU to Enermax Liberty 500W, but no much help. It still freeze randomly within 1 hr when playing C&C3. My PC spec is AMD X2 5600+; Asus M2N-E SLI; Patriot DDR-800 1GB RAM (with heatsink); Asus 8600GT 256mb; Enermax Liberty 500W. Hope you guys can provide me some info or solution. Regards: Tonny |

QUOTE(sniperwolf @ Sep 5 2007, 10:59 AM) 640mb would be better imo. As later if you might tend to upgrade to maybe a 24 to 28inch range monitor which utilize 1920x1200 resolution, the 640mb will still be a better performer over the 320mb If u can grab 640MB is better as u see even in 12x10 the dx10 COJ performance really drop on 320MB version. |
