QUOTE(akachester @ May 31 2007, 01:27 PM) Guys, OT a lil bit.. AFAIK, you can get it run... 2 GC + 2 Display monitor... Assuming if i am going to get the 8800GTS. When my 7300GT comes back from warranty, could i slot it into my 2nd PCIE slot? My board is DFI CFX3200 which is Xfire enabled though.. And whats the use of a 2nd video card at that slot?Thanks.. |

QUOTE(mmohdnor @ May 31 2007, 07:55 PM) if u r using 7600gs, i don't think there's a need to change to 8500GT or the overclocked version 8500GE. how much you bought the 8500GE and how far (as for now) you can go in overclocking...? mind if you post the PCB of the 8500GE, because... from what i can see from quite distant... it's similar to 7300GT board, same size, same cooler too better go for 8600GT/GTS or better still, the 8800 series .. i haven't thouroughly test my 8500GE yet ... |

whoah... 8600GE with 6-pin power connector, sure as hell it can be overclocked like 8600GTS, and for sure the price also going to be very cheap, since it's under 8600GTS

my brother, using Acbel 450W, can't even overclock with his system and his new X1950GT from Colourful, i told him... PSU is everything...
anyway... with good graphic card, it doesn't mean your system can play better if you're on capalang PSU, go get the reliable and good one |

QUOTE(ben_panced @ Jul 24 2007, 10:31 PM) who cares about the load temp?? get the xfx 86gts and put a pci fan card underneath it and set the fan speed 100%, that should lower the load temps drastically.. if like that, for sure the noise... |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Jul 25 2007, 01:50 AM) You talk about the old pnetium 4 fan , is REALLY horrible , my housemate using P4 system and the i can heard the sound at my own room . Anyway is the 8600GTS 256bit 512MB version available ? nVidia had confirmed it . My most expectation are on the REAL performance grade graphic card ( ets 8700 ) with 64 steam processor or 80 steam processor product . This post has been edited by sniper69: Jul 25 2007, 01:54 AM |

the Zalman looked alike 7900GTX cooler, i do like it... but i'm wondering how's the hot air blowing out? i think the hot air will circulated inside of the case instead being blowing out from the case...

IMO, it's not because of the hardware, it's the driver, izudeen, mind show us your Direct3D settings on nTune? are you turning on the vsync?

well, FYI when turning on the vsync, chances we get the lower frame rate as well "tearing" (something like the image being scissors) is high.

QUOTE(Eoma @ Jul 27 2007, 07:59 PM) Vsync is to eliminate tearing. Not cause it. What Vysnc does is limit your frame rate to your monitor/LCD sync rate; i.e in the case of LCDs to 60 frames/sec. vsync @Wikipedia |

QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Jul 27 2007, 08:14 PM) its not really stall, just that i can see its not smooth....... this smoothness thingy, are you xp on online gaming?forgot to add... using 22" Dell... do you guys think it got to do with monitor response time? QUOTE(weikai_ng @ Jul 27 2007, 08:18 PM) Guys, my XFX 8600GT XX has an idle temperature of 57'C and 93'C on load...Do you think it is normal? 93'C almost can boil water already even 93°C is hot, but the card can survive, it's only that... it's hot |

improving your case air-flow might help in reducing your GPU temp as well the GPU ambient, or else, get dual fan and direct blow to the GPU for example the Vantec PCI fan or DIY la, fix both 120mm and voila... done...

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jul 27 2007, 08:42 PM) izudeen, it's up to you whether wan to open or not, but the stalling problem should be caused by too high oc on ur card, maybe without some voltage mod or watever, i dont know much. But for sure, vsync is not a prob for you ok... correction, actually, when we do overclock too high, the GPU itself will downclock to safer range and it could be way lower than stock cooler, or in other words, it'll set to 2D clock instead of 3D clock I wan to know some comparison on x2600xt and 8600gt le, they said x2600xt better in newer games, but i see hardocp review, x2600xt only win in RE6:vegas le, becos that game optimised for ati i think.. How about x2600xt ddr4? is it out at lowyat? |

well, i'm using the ForceWare 162 driver (on 7950GT) though and currently on 7100GS, since i can't do much (a.k.a gaming) with 7100GS, i can't tell much about stability or any driver issue
