I noted from the few 'leaks' got different price. But few of them are using either T1 or T2 price.. Does any of you guys know what it means?

If this the exact price,surely waiting list became long..will go premium for sure.

for fuel consumption i think you can see the china model boyue. same spec.

If the leaked price somewhat true, vios or city oso can tapau oredi.

This will lure potential buyer from vios/city to HRV to *upgrade* their purchase to bigger and more advance car like the x70.

I booked this x70, just bcoz first few batches CBU. 😂 Jet grey 2wd executive. Hope that wont take too long for the waiting time

Anything made in china turn me off, have many bad experiences with china products, especially handphones....for car safety is important, i m still have no confidence with the car.

Nowadays china brands r competative n quality improved. They r targeting global market n i dont think geely wana mess up their global car reputation. I know there is some complaints on its gearbox back in china that make me worry. 😂 Im happy with huawei phone, taobao products (with good review) n xiaomi products, smart home system... Most of your household things r made in china. But i may still drop the booking if not happy with test drive or pricing

My gut feel re this online booking is that Proton has hit the wall at around 8,000 bookings. They need at least 10,000 for whatever reason to order CBU.

Also, the data collected (variant, colour) will be used to estimate CBU ordering (Eg. X amount of 2WD Standard White, Y amount of 2WD Executive Silver, Z amount of 2WD Premium Red .....)

But the execution of this online booking has not gone smoothly. Right after 10AM launch, the Home page X70 Online ordering link took you to a blank page. Later on complains on Proton FB of people unable to submit order or problems with credit card payments. Also complains from those who booked offline earlier (RM1,000 deposit) asking why they were not given any gifts whereas those online bookers were enticed with booking gifts. All in all, not executed well by Proton Edar. As if this online booking was an afterthought & the website vendor wasn't up to the job.

Now with the rumours of P2 launching the SUV at KLIMS, Proton will not only have to battle CRV/CX5/X-Trail/HRV but add the recently launched Rush & possibly P2 SUV. Sure, B Segment Vs C Segment but since when does Malaysian consumers care, they only look at the price to do comparison.

I really do wonder if Proton Edar is up to the job. So far, they've been fumbling & bumbling on this launch. Whatever happened to those hotshots Sales & Marketing senior management they recruited from H/N/SD-H? Don't they have any new ideas to help with the launch?

This launch is absolutely crucial for Proton revival & if they fail, it's going to be Game Over.

Reading all of this, It's better to give them a week or two to figure out problems regarding online/offline booking, order gifts, deposits etc. This is totally new ground for Proton so the benefit of a doubt is needed for the time being.

I mean, if a bigger company like Volvo is still having issues with their Care by Volvo subscription program months after it was launched then it's best to cut a smaller company like Proton some slack to work out the kinks.
