My dad's Space Grey Premium received on 26/2, booked on launch day.

Here it is beside my Civic FC:

Drove it over the weekend, was seriously impressed. Completely outclasses the Civic in NVH and refinement. Powertrain is quite powerful and smooth especially for someone used to a N/A car. Fingers crossed it is much more reliable than the car it replaces, a 2012 Proton Preve CFE.

I sit in my fren car when idle, i can feel anit vibrations.. i sit inside my dad jazz, totaly no vibration at all even accelerate. But the road noise and the road feel is bad i believe due to low profile tire on jazz

I am owning a Jazz and X70. X70 wins over Jazz on NVH regardless idle or accelerating.

Maybe your dad's Jazz is very well insulated.
*
i havent try x70 lol.. but i feel the car vibrate while idle, minimal but can feel. jazz totally cannot feel lol. even when rev also no vibration but the road noise is soooooo bad even with michelin tire. the flooring insulation is just so bad.

maybe find 1 day i go test drive x70. my only concern is that, my current car is preve and now i wan sell my car i only can sell less than 20k but car like vios can still sell 30-40k 8 year car. And preve spare parts all super expensive, i feel like i maintaining not a local car. And i wanna try something not proton lol. looking at civic facelift or HR-V now. but x70 might change my mind?

I think generally, if resale value and maintenance is your main concern, should stick to Japanese cars.
*
okies.. just that i wanna try SUV.. anyway will try out new CKD see can convince myself to trust proton again. Preve i put alot confident in it, but disappoint me.. now my car 8yrs only alot mickey mouse sound inside dashboard.

If nvh is your priorities, a lexus is a good start.
My boss lexus suv recond of 7 y.o is quieter than my full spec accord, especially the wind noise during 150kmh
*
lol.. tak ada duit utk lexus mah.. harrier maybe la but old harrier macam outdated inside. The interior not nice

How come? Low production of premium x?
*
normally the production will go with the model that they target is most profitable and more popular, then it will produce less popular one. cos the production train kenot half way change one. they roll out batch by batch. i believe premium x is the less popular one. maybe la.. maybe im wrong then is premium x is the most popular one. lol

For CKD version saw gearbox overheat message right after starting the engine in the morning, strongly suspect it is caused by faulty sensor.

Touchwood my car does not show this error. I just sent the car for 1k service and complaint suspension noise when go over bumps. SC investigated and sprayed the silicone lubricant. No more noise.

My review of my CKD Premium:
1. Very good NVH (probably the best in Proton)
2. Engine noise very minimal
3. DCT gearbox is smooth, gear change is not really noticeable. But I do practice put it to Neutral if expecting long wait in traffic. SA told me auto hold will also disengage the clutch automatically but I am not sure how true it is.
4. Mediocre sound quality from the headunit, even with Kenwood speakers and subwoofer.
*
better don change to N la.. u will save ur gearbox.. cos u put n most likely the oil pressure will drop normal then u will have insufficient cooling of ur gearbox. Ur gearbox rely oil to cool one..

Unnecessary stress, DONT PUT N during traffic light or jam stop if you dont want premature gearbox failure. Just use the auto hold function

Yala... auto not manual eh lol 😂

Because of our tariff, it is ironic that the HRV (a B-segment SUV) is compared to the X70 (a C-Segment SUV). Buyers would of course look at the price as a comparison.
I had driven both, if nimbleness and mostly town driving, the HRV size wins (until the X50 shows up).
X70 is a better all rounder with better safety features and an extremely capable highway cruiser. Equipment wise, X70 is the hands down winner especially the 2020 CKD version!
*
don owes blame tariff la my fren, u see HR-V top spec selling at labuan is 104k la.. u wan remove tax and duties ur hr-v also still sell for 104k, so is honda malaysia set the price so high in the first place only then the tax and duties will be higher.

Folks,
My CKD Premium came with a 2.8Bar tyre pressure on all tyres. When the tyre is hot, the pressure goes unto 2.9 or even 3.0. I am sure this is massively over-pressured for X70 CKD tyres. The driver side door mentions 2.2Bar, while some internet articles recommend 2.3Bar or even 2.4Bar. What would you recommend based on your knowledge and experience?

Thanks in advance!
*
2.8bar seem to high, better release some pressure in the morning to 2.2 or 2.3. recommended wont go wrong one. even if hot, also wont go nearly 1bar increase la.
