Hai guys..i want to ask..i never had any alcohol drinks before and i want to try it for the first time, i would love to try some wine but i don't know what brand or anything about wine.. I've read stuff online but i want a perspective of a Malaysian. My question is what wine is good enough for a beginner probably not the too expensive one, one you could get easily around Kl or Penang..

Red: Try Rawsons retreat Merlot if you are on a budget or Penfolds Max Cabernet Sauvignion if you can spend a bit more. White: Since I usually like Chardonnay I could definitely try the Rawson's Retreat 'Private Release' Chardonnay as well. https://winetalk.com.my/all-wines/popular-b...s/penfolds.htmlI just googled that one up, I have no idea if that shop is good or not. I actually never buy wine in Malaysia as I think it's not worth it. If you are a beginner, don't give up if one wine taste like shit. Different wines taste diffrent. I usually like wines made from Chardonnay, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. Especially if they are oak aged. And I'm not so found of Riesling and Shiraz. But it's a matter of taste. Keep in mind what grapes that not so nice wine was made of when you find one. When I started my drinking career I actually had a lot of Riesling since they are easy to drink and a bit more sweet. And also was among the cheapest where I lived (not Malaysia). You must try and see for your self what you like!
