The only logic I can see we getting Higuain is so that he can be a stop gap solution to our striker problem while waiting for Morata/Bats to develop into world class.
This means Higuain 1st team (something like Eto'o in 13/14) Morata/Bats Sub Giroud depending on match tactics (if need tall header option) But this means Morata or Bats will leave, cannot imagine both staying if Higuain comes. Clearly our board doesn't feel Morata or Bats is ready for fulltime first team yet. |
