-Fekir agrees personal terms with Chelsea. Now depend on his club. Fekir is seen as an alternative to Mauro Icardi, who Maurizio Sarri had been interested in.

-Winger free agent Bernard prefers join Everton than Chelsea. Everton boss is the key to convince him.

Tammy almost bought by Spurs on transfer deadline day.

S1234567890 Spurs tried to sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham on deadline day

Tottenham Hotspur became the first team in the history of the Premier League transfer window to sign zero new players this summer. There are undoubtedly many reasons why that came to pass, but one of them turns out to be Spurs choosing poorly in terms of transfer targets, and attempting to sign a player from Chelsea.

That player turns out to be young Tammy Abraham, for whom Spurs apparently bid £25m on deadline day. Presumably, we laughed them out of the proverbial building.

According to the report, while Tammy was interested in switching allegiances via this cross-town move, he was told in no uncertain terms to reconsider that notion. Chelsea haven’t sold a player to Spurs since 2001 (Gus Poyet) — and haven’t signed a player since 1985 (Micky Hazard) — and that wasn’t about to change now. (There have been a few free transfers in the meantime, mostly for backup goalkeepers, including Carlo Cudicini and Neil Sullivan.)

Abraham may yet go out on loan this summer — Aston Villa have been linked — but he’s not going to be sold and certainly not to Spurs.
