Matt Law: Chelsea expect to sell or loan out up to 15 players by the end of August. A few should go today.

QUOTE(Eddx @ Aug 9 2018, 11:19 AM) I remember reading some news that he wak "taking care" of KDB's then GF and then became his (Courtois) GF We can always send him back. Even with option to buy. We are not obligated to buy. it's a gamble anyway, if he flops, at least can send him back to Madrid, but if he performs well, who knows the obard will fight to keep him? I hope Messi score more between his legs No picture of kovacic in London yet. A wonderkid in fm12. I always buy him when playing Chelsea. Natural lampard replacement. In that game at least. |

Nizaar Kinsella:
Real Madrid didn't even want to loan out Mateo Kovacic, never mind include an option to buy for Chelsea. #CFC |

If we need to show our intent to challenge and secure top4, we need to change our style of play fast, so that Hazard may sign the contract extension. We have to spend if our player not suit Sarri playing plan

Sceptical of the 80M Kepa. Yea I read that he is the next De Gea, but still, this will be his first season in PL. Coupled with a new strategy and a new manager. I'm keeping my expectation to a bare minimum for this season. Qualify for CL is good enough, plus a good run in FA cup.
With the new strategy and coach, I would have preferred a proven PL keeper, someone like Butland or Schmeichel, at least they are used to PL games. Kepa is like a double bet now. Kovacic, hmm, this kid has talent, but the last good game that he have was in Inter right? Dont think he was given much chances at Real. Hopefully he'll do well for us. Btw, Two of Zouma, Bakayoko, Batshuayi or Giroud need to leave for Chelsea to meet non-homegrown squad limits. HG/club-trained (4): Aina, Christensen, Loftus-Cheek, Musonda HG/FA-trained (6): Barkley, Cahill, Drinkwater, Fàbregas, Green, Moses non-HomeGrown (19): Alonso, Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Bakayoko, Batshuayi, Caballero, David Luiz, Emerson, Giroud, Hazard, Jorginho, Kanté, Kovačić, Morata, Pedro, Rüdiger, Willian, Zappacosta, Zouma And that 19 isn’t counting the likes of Piazon, Kalas, etc. On the plus side, Abraham, Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi are under-21 and thus are essentially free. Or, if you’re a visual learner: sos tiram I would vote for Zouma and Bakayoko to go on loan. |

After deduct Courtois's transfer fee, Kepa cost us only around £36m compared with Liverpool's Allison £66m unless Liverpool sold off Loris Karius which they didn't.
£36m is quite reasonable for a 3rd choice Spain national team keeper and first team keeper for Ath Bilbao. https://twitter.com/realmadrid/status/10275...2721027/photo/1 Thibaut Courtois said that he has realised a dream by being able to join Real Madrid after signing a six-year contract with the club on Wednesday. QUOTE Courtois, a Belgium international who won the Golden Glove last month as the best goalkeeper at the World Cup, left Chelsea for £35 million in a deal that included midfielder Mateo Kovacic leaving Madrid on a season-long loan. "During my career, I have given my best in all the places that I've been," Courtois said at a presentation at the Santiago Bernabeu. "From today, I can achieve the dream I had as a child. I have been a rival and I know what it is to face Real Madrid. "I fulfill a dream, the one I had as a child when I dreamed of stepping on the pitch of this stadium with the colours of Real Madrid, the best club in the world. I am one more Madridista fan and I want to measure up to this badge." The deal had been a long time in the making for Courtois, who was sent on loan from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid for three seasons before returning to London in 2014. He had long expressed a desire to return to Madrid to live closer to his two children and declined to report for training earlier this week. Club president Florentino Perez said Courtois is "one of the world's best goalkeepers, if not the very best," and congratulated him on being able to join Madrid. "You know well that the city of Madrid is your home," Perez said. "Your heart is here in Madrid with your children, and from this moment on, the Santiago Bernabeu forms part of your family, too. I hope you will be very happy with them, with your children, Adriana and Nicolas. As of today, you are part of a club that does not know the meaning of the word impossible." Madrid announced an agreement with Chelsea on the move on Wednesday night, and Chelsea followed up by signing Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao after triggering his €80m release clause. QUOTE(zoidx_chung @ Aug 9 2018, 06:06 PM) Had to do it,as it strengthens us for a top four finish. I'm sure marina and co can work something out, especially since our relationship with madrid is pretty good. If modric doesn't leave next season or they move for milinkovic savic,I can see us negotiating a fee for him. Jorginho, kante and kovacic in the middle. That's pretty insane! Fekir would be the icing on the cake but I'm not getting my hopes up |

Everton reach agreement to sign defender
QUOTE Everton have reportedly reached an agreement with Chelsea over a loan move for Kurt Zouma. According to reports L’Equipe, as cited on Get French Football News, the defender is set to join the Goodison Park outfit. The French defender has been heavily linked with a move to Everton but faced late competition from Manchester United. Jose Mourinho, who has spent the day searching for a new central defender, had reportedly spoken to the Chelsea defender in an attempt to convince him into a move to Old Trafford. However, Chelsea did not want to sell the player to a direct rival and Everton appear to have won the race to sign the player. Zouma spent last season on loan at Stoke City after falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge and he was unable to do enough to help the Potters avoid relegation. Everton have been looking to strengthen defensively, with Yerry Mina also set to join the club from Barcelona. Now this makes sense compared to the earlier rumors which was Zouma to Man United. The Independent claim Chelsea have had a late bid for Lyon's Nabil Fekir rejected. QUOTE Fekir has been a target for Liverpool this summer, with the two clubs agreeing a deal earlier in the window before the move fell through. Chelsea have now been alerted to his availability but the Blues fell short of Lyon's £75m asking price with a bid. Oh dear.... This post has been edited by jovigrunge: Aug 9 2018, 11:12 PM |

Chelsea Fans Aren't Happy With Thibaut Courtois' Badge Kissing]
QUOTE Badge kissing is one of the worst offences for any footballer these days, simply because it usually ends up means so little. Thibaut Courtois has annoyed Chelsea fans by kissing the Real Madrid badge already. There is no loyalty in football these days. It's said often enough about footballers and their constant moving teams but it's applicable across the board as clubs are ready to get rid of their players at the drop of a hat. These days there's always a slew of players ready to go on strike and not bother turning up for training for a few days in order to get a move, when that was just a thing Winston Bogarde did because Chelsea didn't want him turning up. Thibaut Courtois didn't think he'd get his move to Real Madrid in time so he decided to stay at home, force the Blues into breaking the three week old transfer record for a goalkeeper and then move to La Liga for half the price of his replacement- clever. Belgium's World Cup Golden Glove winner was revealed to the Bernabeu masses on Thursday, had a big smooch with his Real badge and irked Chelsea fans on social media: Courtois has been at Madrid less than 24 hours and he's already kissing the badge and talking about Hazard joining him. This guy man. - TweetChelseaUK (@TweetChelseaUK) August 9, 2018 Thibaut Courtois kissing the badge of real madrid hes been there 5 minutes pretty embarrassing really - gary upex (@UpexGary) August 9, 2018 Courtois on his first day at Real Madrid is already kissing the badge and talking about Hazard joining him at Real. Even snakes are more loyal than this guy. - ForeverBlue (@ForeverBlue_07) August 9, 2018 Courtois kissing the Real Madrid badge on day one, you couldn't make this shit up. He once played for Atletico Madrid, guess he has no respect for them as well. Proper snake. - Mod (@CFCMod) August 9, 2018 Courtois kissing the RM badge already! That will please Atletico Madrid and Chelsea in equal measures. That bloke is just a wrong un. - Julian Catt (@JulianCatt) August 9, 2018 Thibaut Courtois kissing the badge on his first day shows what he's wanted for a while now the snake - Jorginho (@cfc_jorginho) August 9, 2018 Never mind the lack of respect it might show to Chelsea it's worse for fans of Atletico Madrid. Courtois really made his name at Atleti and now he's signed for their most hated rivals and kissed the badge on day one. You wouldn't want to see Diego Simeone's reaction to that. The Madrid derby could be a tasty one. Another Judas. First he said his reason was totally about his family and now he said Real Madrid a childhood dream! |
