Besides,we're at a disadvantage as we can't offer CL football. We're stuck with alvaro but I still believe he can come good,and age is on his side. No matter how we mince it,a top class goalkeeper to replace tibo was always going to cost a bomb. It just sucks that snake had to pull this nonsense when we've always had a huge contract waiting for him,and he's never had the guts to just straight up tell the club he wants to leave and submit a transfer request. I don't care if he wants to be with his children or even his pet cat,u don't be a douche by running down your contract and going AWOL to force the club's hand.

We've always been more than fair towards players who were upfront about leaving,his compatriots kdb and lukaku are prime examples of this. The honourable thing to do was sign a simple extension perhaps last season,to ensure we don't get mugged by any buying clubs,not to force him to stay. It would be a different story if we had a history of keeping players against their will and threatened to throw him in the reserves or something. We've always been professional even in the face of all his annoying interviews. We even sold a club legend to accommodate this guy. Bloody hell. I hope navas keeps him on the bench for a season.

He's backed us into a corner here,plain and simple. I'm just glad kepa's clause wasn't £100 million instead,because oblak isn't interested and there aren't many top class keepers available in the sarri mould. Not an ideal situation but hey at least he'll give us 10 seasons minimum.

Seems like Kepa and Kovacic is done deal. Which will allow Bakayoko to go on loan at AC Milan.

Hmm, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic as starting trio? Then Drinkwater, Fab, RLC/Barkley as subs. Baka needs to play week in week out abroad. Hopefully he'll improve in time.
