Don't get me wrong, iPhones are great for the first year or two, and then they become like my grandpa.

Let me tell you how slow my grandpa was, he had to cut off three of his toes because of diabetes, had minor sclerosis, and was obese. So he was a very slow man.

Androids on the other hand, idk la, just doesn't feel right. Have been using an Oppo F5 for a few months now but I hate everything about it.

Anyone with alternatives?

Always avoid oppo and vivo it doesnt represent all android.

Oppo and vivo are for to cheat ppl that are easily fall for advertisment and marketing with social influencer and celebrity.

You deserve to get cheated by oppo.

Their low end are snapdragon 400+ and their highest end also snapdragon 600+ while real flagship from Samsung, HTC, one plus one, sony all uses snapdragon 800+ for their flagship.

I would recommend OnePlus phones - their Oxygen OS is really good - fast and snappy.
I have a OnePlus 3 from 2 years ago and trust me - the performance never drop.
I upgraded to S9+ because I want to have a phone with more features, better screen + camera and Samsung Pay.
If you only intend to use for daily normal use, OnePlus phones are ok.

Alternatively, try Google Pixel phones - there are real vanilla android phones, but can only get AP set in Malaysia, and they are flagship phones.

Initially I was gonna try a Pixel, but I like money.

I'll look into OnePlus phones, seems that they have what I want. How's the camera like on that?

Moto Z, Moto Z Play and many other models used stock Android. I’m using both Z and Z Play. Only from Z2 and Z2 Play onwards, the UI changed to stock Lenovo UI.

Just out of curiosity:
- what iphone model did you use for 2 years? Iphones are know to have longer lifespan than androids. My iphone 5 lasted me almost 5 years before I change it. You need to know not to upgrade your firmware as newer ones will slow down the phone.
- what you dislike about your Oppo androids? Maybe those things that you dislike also exist in pure androids like Pixel series.
- what is your requirement for using a phone? Camera? Design? Performance?

iPhone 6. It was slow to the point that I would give up texting. Don't get me wrong, during the first year or two I loved it.

The thing I hate about my Oppo is that it's ALREADY slow after a month and I don't have that many apps installed. I have to clear memory every 5 minutes of use.

For me the most important is the performance, followed by the camera and then design.

oppo f5 can’t do justice for android.. if you tried samsung s9 or google pixel 2 or other top end android and you hate them, then its justified. but for iphone, my wife using iphone 6 for many years, didn’t get slow, just decently serving her until she changed to huawei p20 recently.. the iphone 6 still here now and i can say still works very well.. your experience is different

you should consider huawei mate series like mate 10, been using for almost a year and still smooth like a butter. starting from emui 7 has changed and it's not clunky anymore

Iphone is great phone, especially with plus version, of course storage need at least 64GB and above for great experience. Android run goods on Snapdragon base chipset, run at least snapdragon 600+, best is 800+, second must at least 6GB RAM and above for smooth experience. Other chipset = rubbish.

Iphone 6 slow due tiny 1 GB RAM is main issue, at least pick Iphone 7 plus can run great for couple years, wanna performance, bigger RAM is main key, for today standard, IOS better start from 3 GB RAM, android min 6 GB RAM, must run on Snapdragon 600+ onward chipset, both IOS and android must have 64GB onboard storage as minimum. sad.gif
