Ele waste too much mana when lvling, too much rest time.

Btw, i strongly suggest you to switch to another class while you still can and before its too late. (Trust me, my main is a shaman)

If your idea of endgame is pure healing in raids and getting out of mana in 5 minutes and getting CCed to death in PvP, go ahead and play your shaman.

If you want to be OMGWTFBBQ pwn everyone in PvE or PvP, DO NOT ROLL HYBRID CLASSES.

you have no idea how strong shaman can be in pve/pvp... but 1 thing for sure... they're role is just pure healing. for pvp you can go elem though due to the high burst dmg, but restore still > elem in pvp... and.. enh tree is practically useless.

Resto shaman good in pve/pvp endgame. Ele/Enha for DPS but both trees are practically hopeless in next patch therefore only Resto if you want to get epics

Non-shaman would not understand how much we shamans suffer in PvP no matter what spec cause we have no anti-CC or CC skills. Those who say we're good is probably cause that shaman has a strong team or really well PvP geared. If you go solo PvP then be prepared to QQ

Thats my whole point, you can only be Pvp viable if you spec Resto and thats if you have someone to watch your back.

Ele is not even close to burst dmg. In decent blue/purple gear, your CL/LB for 1.1k- 1.3k average. Crit for 2k-2.5k average.
Everyone in arena has 9K hp/100+ resilence average, your lightning bolt only tickles people.

Enhancement, dont even talk about it.

I know whos Kurei talking about since i'm in his server but after patch they might suffer from some DPS problems. However, still good for buffs though

Most teams would think carefully about weighing the benefits of Bloodlust against the liabilities of actually bringing a Shaman into arena.

elem shamans are definitely underestimated... ive been critted lb for around 3.5k and CL for 4.5k+

granted, that time my resilience is shitty and same goes for my stam, so pretty much i got 2 shotted.


that aside, BL is always good, same for the grounding totems.

There is NO way LB gonna hit for 3.5k even after trinketed. Unless someone hit you with Stormstrike before that.
Original base dmg of LB is very low. Around 700++.
If you take in account of +spell dmg and coefficient for 2s cast time, you need at least +1.1k spell dmg to do that.
Which is impossible to reach that with shaman gear. Best shaman +dmg gear i have seen in a shaman is around +650. (Around +900 after trinket n totem)

The main problem of Shaman, other than the lack of CC or the ability to get away from being CC-ed, is that almost all our spells are Nature based. One timed counterspell or spell lock and you have basically shut down the Elemental or Restoration Shaman's entire arsenal.

in pve gear 773dmg - 3k LB n 4k CL crits regularly.

ive seen shams with 900 ish base dmg, even the shaman kurei linked is around 800+ totem + trinket a bit... easily can break 1k+

and thats the dmg i took... 3.5kish lb and following a 4.5kish CL... dmg dont lie, and i got 2 shotted. our team got whooped too almost effortlessly by them. happened a long time ago when we were new to arenas.

perhaps u guyz might wanna watch them especially Nafnaf's short DPS movie...
or Ezareth's strat moves in world pvp...
might gonna by looking at those out burst dmg they done...
check out Ezareth's armory, last time i saw his bonus dmg is ard 800+, now not sure...
