Dear all sifus, i wanna ask what is wrong with my camera. When i take photos using 8 secs shutter speed, i get blue and red dots.

while i take pictures above 1/4 sec shutter speeds, i dun get red and blue dots. What is the problem im having here? Any sifus can tell me mah?

Sorry all sifus, was away these few days. Now im back again.

Here is the example of red and blue dots photo.

f/7.1, 8secs, ISO 100, Focal length 6mm


Just in case you do not know where are the dots is. The red and blue dots are actually all over the whole photo, but because of colour similarity, so there are dots that cant be noticed. It can be noticed when there's a dark background.


Here is an example of "daylight" photo. ( no red and blue dots )

f/2.8, 1/125sec, ISO 200, Focal length 6mm

but even if i snap with the lens cap on.. set ISO 100, f7.1(the highest i can go),8secs, WB natural light. I dun have NR function, i still get to see those red and blue dots. =(

All sifus.. is this the best i can do using photoshop cs2? Pls advice advice.. ty!


tools used are, noise reduce, dust and scratches, sharpen, and surface blur. Thanks!

sinister: did you only use reduce noise? or there are other tools you used? please share.. ty
