Band 38 is TDD-LTE, they could configure download speed to upload speed ratio however they want so they probably have high ratio. This is what you can't do in FDD-LTE
*
Not sure whether it is related to my RSRP which is -100dBm plus plus.
SiNR is pretty good due to less congestion. But b38 itself is a high frequency band, which might contribute to the slower upload.

I tried running B40 tests but there is more congestion, hence slower speeds than B38

EDIT:
Tried on B38 with my phone. Same behaviour.

Then I tried this. Spam many web activity upload/download before speed test. The upload speed ramp up considerably faster.
Looks like a transmit power saving feature by unifi

While I appreciate the new concept for this sim card (no expiry for data), the download speed is really terrible.

At the central of KL, with 4G full signal bar with band 38, I can barely get 1~2Mbps.
Compared with Maxis, also 4G(+) with full signal bar, I can get 5~10Mbps.
Even if I don't look at the numbers, in my typical browsing experience there is a significant difference in speed, unifi is like 2x-3x slower.

I understand I shouldn't compare to Maxis for its download speed since Maxis put so much money in infrastructure, but from a consumer perspective I can't really switch to unifi as my main sim card...
