Digi have problem with their so-call band 3 and band 7.....
without fail....everynight will become snail...
band 8 might be your answer at night

the problem is most of the phone are auto latch to strongest band which could be either band 3 or band 7 and this two band always become super snail at night.

Only certain phone like Samsung able to lock to either 3 band
or Router B618 as for example.

your Family 160 plan is not speed capped but more of less congestion starting usually at night.

with Digi dishing out goodies like Unlimited Daily RM1 and NOW Raja Video Unlimited Youtube/Surfing..
It good for us who look for cheapest possible plan

For now ,
DIgi have unleashed the Kraken Raja Video for all their plan which means congestion at all corners lo.

Only RM15 monthly ...the cheapest...the baddest and Killer Plan.

Kudo to Digi for this bold move and at the same time killing those scalpers who is selling the SIM starting from RM15 upwards

I have lock band 8...band 3 and band 7....all can call fine and data running good..
Should be no issue.
VoLTE also no problem...

if you using Samsung phone

*#0011# to check current band

*#2263# to select auto/disable/select band

Stack 1 = Sim slot 1
Stack 2 = Sim slot 2

So if you digi sim in slot 1..
Choose stack 1

Then select LTE

Then select Disable..in my case
To disable which band as i want

Default is Auto
Reset mean all Band make available

Yes...do speedtest for each band.
I use meter.net for speedtesting selecting singapore.

I try each and every band.
But mind you...morning and night do show different result.

In the morning...usually band 3 and band 7 Vroom vroomm while band 8 always slow and steady.

Then come evening usually from start 7pm ...then band 3 amd band 7 goes havoc......not stable...possible congestion due to possible all come back home around your location.
That it is when i lock to band 8.

Only Samsung phone can do that band locking as for tye rest of the phone...good luck lo...because always locking on strongest signal....
That why many people complaining why Digi so shitty...despite using the latest phone.

Huawei..Oppo..OnePlus..Xiaomi.....good luck lo unless root the phone.

Samsung is the best if you know how to use their *#2263#.
And no need to root phone.

if you have Digi app....check out Box of Surprises.

Check it everyweek...there might be offer or random offer.
The best way if possible..NOT to sub to any plan and be patient

get yourself a second sim and go for the cheapest data plan.
i am not sure what is your rm30 give you what data...

Yoodo will be perfect choice for you as second sim.
you can either buy 50 sms at rm3 OR 50 mins at RM5 OR 2GB RM12

i can say about Samsung phone which is VoLTE default.

Digi SIM VoLTE need to call CS to enable on their side.
then only can See VoLTE

But Volte can be disable although in Digi System your SIM is Volte that if you have update your phone software.
My VoLTE missing after software update the 1st time.
had to call CS to disable and enable back again.

But 2nd time software update on phone...VoLTE still remian

Call CS to disable and enable back again if you have enable thru CS on the 1st time around.

And yes...super long life can get the random offer as well.

I also sub to that Unlimited 5Days rm10 for my AmB Zero.
Pray hard somehow auto renew...then it is a great deal.

Imagine.other than coverage and congestion nightly.
