I wander how self individual operator airbnb owner gonna work here.
As I think already being monopolized by the management who took up units in bulk and run as hotel concept. Just a simple check on this weekend rate (26 Jan 2019):

Airbnb units rate for studio room at RM400+ not yet include the service charge / cleaning fees and no breakfast.
Hotel concept rate for the same size room (studio) is only RM330 include all taxes already and come with free breakfast for 2.

Of course but weekdays they do have occupants too from corporate events & functions. Not forgetting tourists. Don't forget Genting is indeed a very touristy place.
Other hotels in kl are also the same. Can't only rely on hotel rooms to generate income.

u have valid point..
but not always have from corporate events & functions.
tourists especially from China is getting less nowadays... seems like there's some dropped in numbers...

The question is what are the numbers?

It seems, currently there are over 20 hotels (4,5 star) in KL & pj are for sale. If hotel income is great, owner is unlikely to place in the market.

The project is still ongoing, site is just next to Grand Ion Delemen Hotel.. understand from SA that it is currently in pilling stage.. will try to take some pics when i visit again.

It seems that this particular project very hard to get loan. Waited 2months for 70% loan still no ef. Finally gave up 😅😅.
