play games? depends on what game, if you wannaplay latest game, you need lates hardware so that can play smooth, if only like 2003 games, no need such high end laptop.

average laptop = rm2500-rm3500
high end = >rm3500

use windows xp is better, dont use vista yet, coz many games do not suppoty it yet.

HALO 2 is coming! YAHOO!!!

Btw, halo2 only for vista. nod.gif laugh.gif Unless someone port the directx10(extracted from vista kernal) to winxp. rolleyes.gif

Basically, mac is no-no for game. Anyway you can still install winxp via bootcamp or virtual-pc. Btw, what's your budget? Apple only got 2 types of lappy, macbook and macbook pro. Macbook is only using GMA950 (i mention it cos' you seem like a gamer to me, GMA950 is a no-no for game, unless you only play 2D games or games like "dota" biggrin.gif ). The cheapest of cos is macbook which only RM4300. As for MB Pro, it equip with ATI X1600, which is nice and sweet for games.. FUFUFU.. What's the price? Nearly to RM8k i would say... whistling.gif rclxms.gif

Willing to spend on this babe? brows.gif

Hi, can I ask the same question too? Coz I thought of starting a thread on this but saw that someone already started it so I guess I might as well just chip in. Currently I have a Toshiba satellite R10 Tablet PC, and I'm thinking of getting an intel iMac 20-inch as a desktop this october when Leopard comes out. I want to retain my windows tablet pc for windows stuff and get an iMac desktop for all the cool stuff..hehe..

I like to blog and beginning to go into digital photography a bit. I play games too but just Pro Evo and Football Manager. Warcraft sometimes. Do u think getting an iMac is a good idea? Coz I've been to the Apple shop a couple of times and I've been really2 impressed with iLife and all the other software that runs on Mac. Oh, and btw, I'm a student (government sponsored) studying in the UK. The iMac 20-inch is about 800-900 pounds I think here. Just need a little more persuasion from you guys who know more about this...thanks a bunch!

Whatdya reckon? unsure.gif

I dont see any problem hindering you from getting an iMac. Get one, try it and you will know if it suits you not.

To me, it is a good idea. You will never know until you experience it. Btw, Apple store in Manchester is cool. biggrin.gif

If you can and want to wait for it, wait then. But if you cant resist to buy imac asap, then wait no more.

Simply to put it. I don't think a Macbook/Macbook Pro would be a good option if you are serious about gaming.

You can't upgrade most components in a laptop other than the RAM and Hard Disk... Unless of course if you would want to buy a new unit everytime a new model comes out

Alright this might appear as a silly question. I own a MB, can I play Championship Manager using Parallels? As far as I know, Parallels can't supoort 3D games, CM shouldn't be a problem isn' it?
