Periodic inspection msg is NOT A WARNING. But A REMINDER.

I noticed that when something different appeared at that tiny LED panel beside showing the normal status (like gear mode,  FC level/distance)  ... many drivers felt panicky and think something is going south / wrong. hahha...

hi guys is me again back with some fuzzy questions. This time is about head unit. From a standard variant i plan to change it to another unit with reverse cam. specifically this model.

The colour code from the HU is easy to figure out
RED= ignition
Yellow=ACC
Black=ground
Gray/ Gray stripe(negative)= Front right
white/white stripe(negative)= Front left
pink= reverse light
standard variant only has 2 speaker so thats alll of my concern

Note that the signal trigger is the power from the reverse light.
Camera power : from reverse light positive and negative
AV input : red wire near camera connect to positive reverse light
               red wire at the other end connects reverse light, and AV goes to camera

those above wiring is from the HU unit, where should it connect into the car?

Dont worry a just go for service, just remind u could only delay ur service internal by 1k km or 1 months from your last service date.

For head unit crackling sound especially during hot day can try to DIY this.

Insert 2 flat screw driver underneath and slowly pry it out. Apply force towards you and it will pop out.


Once pop out becareful not to pull the whole thing out as there is a cable connected to the front panel. Detach it.




Tape the surrounding area circled with electrical tape.






Some ppl who had rattling sound inside may open up to check. Mine no rattle so i didnt check further.

Once you're done. Push it back to snap back. Remember to put back the connector before snap back the panel.

***Troubleshoot (Copy)
For those who experiencing problem when try to use the Proton Navigation System, the Navigation can't detect micro SD card, you may try this solution, so far it works. Do not skip any step.
-assume that you in the car the moment you troubleshoot the problem.

1.Turn off your engine.
2.Remove the microSD card from connectivity slot.
3.Let your car HU properly powered down. I mean the DVD slot light must be turned off (you may leave your car or do whatever you want to do, I guess it takes 30 sec). Maybe arm your car... let it in armed mode for a while.
4.Disarm your car.
5.Insert microSD card (the small one) in the microSD card slot
6.Turn on the engine.
7.On your HU.
8.Open Navigation
9.The navigation should work now.
