For all existing win7 and win8 users you all can head over to https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10 and dl the creation tool to upgrade to windows 10 for free, your edition will be determined by your current edition as well as 32/64 bit.

Just sharing cuz most of you think the free upgrade was over long ago but its not.

Wrong , windows 10 installation is totally free for everyone if you dont have a genuine key u can buy a key after the installation is finished.

Just upgraded from Win 7 Home to Win 10 Home yesterday. So the free upgrade is still available now. My win 7 is a retail version, so just use back the same product key from Win 7.

Did you key in your Win7 key on the Win10 setup page during a fresh install? Or did you perform the upgrade in Win7? Thanks

Yes, using my old win 7 key during the installation. I downloaded the ISO file to my flash drive first and then started the installation.

Yes, according to another member who posted in this topic earlier.

Microsoft is trying hard to push people to migrate to Windows 10. A popular tech site claimed that they been using Win 10 without license keys for their testbench machines and Windows would still function normally.

It's still available now cause I was upgrading mine on 20 March, using the Window 10 Installation tool downloaded from Microsoft website.

For those using Win 7, recommended to upgrade now cause the support for Win 7 gonna end in January 2020.
