Guys, need some suggestion here...

Yesterday TM contractor came and replace the fiber optic cable for my unifi and finally I'm able to use my unifi again...

Before they leave, I've tested the speed using my smartphone via wifi, under 2.4g it reaches around 70-80mbps, and 5g it reaches 100mbps...

That was sitting in front of my router though... But when I'm using my laptop on second floor, I run speed test from my laptop using 2.4g and the speed only runs around 20mbps max.... I'm staying in a 2sty house with about 2500sf built up...

I did some study, if I opt for wifi range extender, it has to be on the same power point line as my router in order to get it done, right?

What about if I buy another router and use it as an Access Point on second floor? If this is the better solution, any recommended AP or router that can fully optimize the Unifi 100mb speed on the entire 2nd floor?
Suggestion & advice are much appreciated from expert here~

I received a refund cheque from TM for my streamyx (upgraded to unifi)

The cheque is A4 size. How do I bank it in. Can't put in cheque deposit machine. Do I HAVE TO do it through counter?

i am unifi lite, tm told me unifi lite have 2. cooper and fibre. my house use fibre. tm told me, i have chance uprgrading in 15 augst. they told me maybe 100mbps.

gonna pay the penalty RM500 and downgrade to RM79/month for 60gb quota.

Not a heavy user, only 1 laptop stream video online.. should be enough for me..

What do they mean by streamyx customer in unifi area? Adjacent area that have unifi or the ones who're still waiting for avaibility of the port?

No, no new STB if the old one still works. TM will change the BTU and give you a new router if you're on old equipment. For my previous TQSurprise from 30-50 no new equipment. For 50-100 RM10 upgrade, TM changed the BTU and gave me a new C1200.

wondering if 2 houses with both different account (A=100Mbps, B= 30Mbps),
Is it possible to swap internally by account which directly effect the speed or it depend the system port . In case both are FTTH, as currently were not have B acc yet.

Anyone kNow what's this ?
