so Unifi just confirmed we are eligible but turbo upgrade to what speed? I previously applied for 50mbps then free upgrade to 100mbps. So now is upgrade further to 500mbps or 800mbps?

Yes, third party router can work with Unifi STB for sure. I am using (local) Asus RT-AC88U without any problem.

haha... I am not too sure about VDSL or not. Mine is Unifi 50mbps free upgraded to 100mbps. The Asus router performance is just superb. I have been using Asus modem/router since the streamyx era ages ago. Bought the RT-AC88U after changing to Unifi after my area finally has Unifi about 2 years ago.

My top priority is still cutting my monthly Unifi bill. Currently paying RM219 for 100mbps with the useless HypeTV. Looking forward to pay RM130-150 for 300mbps or so. 800mbps really excessive.

yes, very true. Most gamers will prefer a ultra low latency link to US/Europe/Aussie, rather than a ultra high bandwidth for download.

I think the Unifi selfcare system is overload with users trying to login to check their upgrade status. Mine also encounter userID and password error.

Reboot my router this morning before going to work to try speedtest. No luck, still 100mbps.

100 mbps is more than enough, especially for gamers. We just want the monthly fee to be cut into half.

I think mine is same with yours, about RM219 (without GST). Will go TM Point to make noise later as suggested by Fruitie. But will go after getting Turbo'ed.
