QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 8 2018, 04:38 PM) Yep, based on official Unifi Twitter and if it applies to UniFi Pro package. https://twitter.com/unifi/status/1014078032858869760thanks, that's interesting; even with 100mbps i can't fully use, what more 1Gbps if only TM improves overseas latency also

QUOTE(pluginbaby @ Jul 19 2018, 09:09 AM) It is related to town planning and development planning as well which is beyond out of TM's control area and takes half a decade minimum to plan and execute. They can't pull a fibre line just to cater few houses that needs high speed. It has to be at a some sort of profitability ratio. Then for old apartments that was not built to support fibrre, TM won't have the capacity to fix that up, it needs to be the property management to start that off, given that there is sufficient demands. not quite true; my condo where i'm in the MC invited Time to install fibre to all 300 units, currently using TM, and Time is now installing new fibre to all risers so that all units can subscribe to Time, with no cost to us

why cant TM just simply reset all 100mbps accounts to 800 mbps immediately; after all 100m users have the equipment ready

QUOTE(wilson1stop @ Jul 20 2018, 04:10 PM) But my DIR850L only gave my 2.4Ghz phone surfing at 135/144Mbps while sometime dropped to 65Mbps since we got no options to fixed setting 40Mhz instead of Auto 20/40Mhz. While 5Ghz only reachable 585Mbps instead of 867Mbps advertised. So I'm thinking below 50% of maximum achievable speed for 2.4Ghz devices, while nearly 70% of full speed for 5Ghz devices... TM don't promise wireless speeds, only at the network port using LAN luckily, my house all wired up in gigabit LAN

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 31 2018, 06:11 PM) Go iflix.com and click on "My Plan". Mine says: It did, whole of 2017 and then extended to dunno when this year. I don't use it much so never really took notice. Back when it was "free for unifi users", when you registered at iflix, it automatically detected that you're on UniFi and put you onto a special TM plan. Forgot what the plan was called exactly. doesn't work for me, it ask me to sign up

QUOTE(soonwai @ Aug 3 2018, 02:39 PM) Yes, same wifi specs more or less, different features. Even though the C1200 has 3 antennas and the C5 has 2, they're are both 2 chains aka 2x2 MIMO. can the huawei ws880 handle the 800mbps?

QUOTE(jerryckk @ Aug 3 2018, 03:29 PM) Ethernet, yes. (WAN to LAN & LAN to WAN benchmark around 900+ mbps) Wireless, no. (Around 200-300mbps from 5Ghz, tested with Samsung S8, 2T2R) Might able to get higher from 3T3R devices as WS880 is 3T3R for each band. thanks, good enough cos i use LAN mostly
