QUOTE(nimbus kayano @ Jul 5 2018, 10:43 AM) I saw my bill, my package actually list 60gb cap for my 100Mbps Unifi. if im not mistaken all unifi package got the 60gb cap. just that TM never dare implement it. is in the contract you sign I don’t think I reached 60gb, but anyone here ever ‘felt’ the cap? at least for older contract pre 30, 50, 100 package. |

QUOTE(wshoh @ Jul 5 2018, 04:20 PM) Spoke to CS on the phone today (5/7/2018), he mentioned that existing customer (eg VIP10/Advance @ 30/10Mbps at RM179) with HyppTV can walk in to TMpoint and ask for downgrade to UniFi LITE @ 10/5Mbps at RM129 and still access HyppTV through existing HyppTV box, major difference in the plan is that telephone calls are chargeable. streaming netflix need at least 7-8Mbps for FHD. dunno about uploading. should be the same lor.May work out for me if UniFi LITE is upgraded in August 2018 to 30Mbps (since I am on VDSL and speeds can't get better) but if UniFi LITE's download speed is only increased to 20Mbps, will be a bummer. The real major issue is upload speed as I have an IP camera (FHD/1080p) and occasionally use remote desktop - would 5Mbps upload be sufficient? CS encouraged me to wait till mid August 2018 to see if existing VIP10/Advance plan price is reduced. Any advice? I am currently paying RM179 (RM199 -20) for 30/10Mbps, out of contract long ago and strongly prefer not to be inconvenienced with change of telephone number (as business involved), hence did not register a new account earlier to enjoy the lower RM139 rate but get bound by new 24 months contract. |

QUOTE(chan01 @ Jul 6 2018, 10:23 AM) Unifi turbo is 10x increase speed? https://www.lowyat.net/2018/165655/unifi-tu...speed-increase/ if TM can gimme 300Mbps for existing 50Mbps user I more then happy wei.so 30 mbps = 300 mbps 50 mbps = 500 mbps 100 mbps = 1gbps So will TM change our modem and router to complement the upgrade? no need to wait for my 50-100GB game download anymore. more then enough for whole fam to use without me strict/controlling it |

QUOTE(zeese @ Jul 12 2018, 12:32 PM) guy.. i'm using a wifi for connection.. wireless-n only up to 300Mbps (yeah, i know, actual internet speed is lower due to overhead bla bla bla)... most new router that have wirelss AC should do it.How to take advantage of 500mbps or 1gbps internet connection? what router can provide wireless connection up to 500/1000mbps ? to me as long as input port can do 10 Gbps shouldnt bottleneck it for 1Gbps user |

QUOTE(boonhan @ Jul 16 2018, 01:01 PM) Behind that part add rmxx for the upgrade.. last minute revenue increase mah. why waste the opportunity But anyway why they even want to offer minor upgrade with slightly topup now. Soon will got 10x anyway. or they wanna minimize the lost they will get from people changing from 50/100mbps user to 10mbps rm129. you save rm50-1x0 a month but they could lost a few hundred thousand a month. imagine at least 1000 people doing it. |
