Hey shifus here, I've been looking a new monitor for quite awhile. Due to my recent PC upgrade, getting 2k/4k is a better option to go with.
Currently my pc is paired with a gtx 1070 ti, with my tight budget of 2k, a 2k resolution 27"-32" monitor with 144Hz + g-sync isn't asked for too much at the price point ?

can shifus here recommend some good and reliable 2k monitor with the spec i requested at the price point ? i don't mind paying a little extra for a good one if it really worth for the price.
this will be my daily monitor, some gaming (csgo,dota2,guildwars2,gta5,sims4 + nfs payback etc etc), watch some movies & browsing internet.
Is G-sync really worth it ? is 144hz really necessary ? IDK, idk how these 2 features will be beneficial to me. But, if it really givs a huge difference, im ok with it.

Thank you shifus for helping out. pretty new into "monitor field" rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

2K is a little tight for a GOOD 2k monitor , but if you don't mind not getting the best ones , you have a few options .

I will just list them all

Asus PG279Q : Best of the best in this range , 165hz , IPS , Gsync . You may find one at around RM 3200 ~ RM 3600

Asus PG278QR : Like the 279Q , but without the IPS panel . Expect around rm 2600-rm2900 .

Acer XB271HU : Just like PG279Q , one of the best premium Monitor in this range . OSD is a little harder to nagivate , but in terms of specs its just the same as 279Q, price dropped recently to below 3k

XG2703-GS 27 : Viewsonic 's QHD elite , Gsync , 144 hz , IPS all in one package , asking for a price tag at RM 3000 - RM 3200 . The build quality feels cheap but it has everything a gamer wants , If you can afford this you should get the Asus or Acer one instead

Dell S2716DG : QHD , GSYNC , 144 hz , no IPS , picture quality is not so good , around rm 2300 - 2500 .

Dell U2715H : Without Gsync , IPS , response time @ 8ms around 2K

VX3209-2K : Viewsonic 's budget QHD , with IPS panel . 32 inches screen ,very affordable . Around RM 1000 ~ 1200 refresh @ 75 hz , response time : 8ms

If you ask me , G-sync is always worth it for gaming . Its particularly helpful within range of 30 - 70 FPS , so if you happen to play some Open world or AAA games that fall in the category , you will want one . The best gaming fluidity money can offer now , You will never look back after this . The down side is it is quite damn pricey .

As for the 144hz , you really have to ask yourself . At QHD , its pretty hard to get past 100 frame rate on most modern games on highest settings , even for gtx 1070ti .
But higher refresh rate makes your gaming more responsive and is crucial for competitive gamings such as Dota 2 / Counter strike / Overwatch / FPS

But of course you are a little tight on your budget , so you have to really consider it .

P/S : The price I have listed above is what I can find via discount / coupons from online merchant / Lowyat resellers , so it is only an estimate . You may be able to find a cheaper one , though I doubt it will be much cheaper

Thanks bro for the helpful information, seems like a G-Sync is a must to me, because with my pc spec,
I hardly reach 40fps in gw2 world bosses.. 1440p is also a must thing to me, because I like seeing my desktop icon small, kinda weird habit I have there. Haha. But ure right, I think I’m gonna fork out another few hundred just for a good monitor. Once again, thank you for the information ! rclxm9.gif

First is SSD

You sir have good taste! I am looking for this particular monitor. Heck, I even traveled from JB to KL Lowyat to ask the shops one by one and they are all out of stock. Is there anyone can tell me where can I get this monitor? I'd rather not risk the postal service for something around RM3000...
