I have a very weird situation on my modem.
The modem mode light turns red yesterday till now.
So I take out the celcom sim card and put it inside my mifi.  It's working fine.
Then, I try putting my digi sim card into the modem and it's working.. All the light turn green.
After that, I put the celcom sim card back to the modem, the mode light turns red again.
Do you guys have any idea what happen to the modem?
I don't want to go to celcom center first.. I am afraid that they will sim lock my modem.

Thanks for the trick.. Will mark it down.
BTW, I called the CS, CS did a network reset but still not working. After a few hours, the network recovered.

I used the huawei hilink apps where there is an option to reboot the modem. Or you can just as simple as turn off the modem, wait for 5 to 10 seconds then turn it on again.

My line was off a few times for about 10 minutes each time since yesterday. Gosh...I can't afford to go off line as I'm doing trading and every minutes/second counts

The speed is so slow until the line disconnected by itself. What happen to Celcom?  mad.gif

Here my experience using it.
Whenever you take out SIM and insert back the sim OR Re-power OR reset thru HManager from phone.
ON B618 celcom unit OR Mifi........
It will take a WHILE before got signal

if you want faster way...use HManager from phone to play around with setting mode
AUTO...4G only or 3G before switching back
OR select 4G FDD 1800 and FDD 2600 or CA 1800 and 2600

the signal will come back immediately if tweak that way.

Still it cannot resolve the congestion issue

Celcom seem to have 2 4G setting.

it could be either 4G +44 OR 4G something ended with OOC (long ID)

When streaming online movie especially from SteamMango or Openload...
4G ***.OOC (long ID) always stuck during streaming while

4G +44 very smooth.

to toogle between those 4G Signal....use HManager

err.. can you try to explain to a newbie like me ?

well...i need to go back and check again..

ok...let say...auto restart or power up....
the Celcom will always LOCK you into one 4G Band...with ID......OOOCD (something like that)
SpeedTest will give you good speed ...at least 20Mbps UP and 15Mbps DOWN

But when streaming from Movie Website.......The movie/drama will hung halfway most of the time...like got timeout.
restart again....still freeze..
BUt when do Speedtest concurrently....no problem...

BUT if i were to change to another 4G band...which end +44 ID.
This is much better and smoother

Recently went to Blue Cube in Sunway, I enquired with a Customer Service rep name Aqilah, about my interests on Celcom Broadband Wireless.

And to my surprise, she said that this wireless broadband must be permanently fixed at the registered home. Meaning if I want to bring it anywhere else in Malaysia - it wont work. I was like WTF?  shocking.gif

Edited :

Okay I found my answer , thanks kimpok for the clarification on your last post.
Damn . What a turn off. It means its locked based on Cell ID whatsoever.

besides I still got Digi Broadband as my other option.

Bull lah..
My sim register for Perak hometown usage.
