Hey guys, I really need your opinion. So I recently got my SPM result and I failed my Add Maths For SPM. I'm studying A Levels Maths currently and its all about the basics of Add Maths Form 4&5. My teacher called me to drop my A Level maths and change to other courses because she think I could not cope with what she was teaching in the classroom. Basically, I went to the admission office of the college and asked if I'm in this kind of situation, will the teacher teach me? And they said yes. But now after studying for 2months...I realize the teacher is not teaching and expect us to have basics for our 'Add Maths'. She keep on persuading me to drop Maths and had no effort in teaching me. She said even if I passed for AS, I cannot go further or I would fail in my A2...how??? Should I continue A Levels maths or drop it? But the future job that I really admire and wanted to do requires maths..I'm in a difficulty in choices now...any suggestions? Or is there anyone having the same situation as me and end up getting at least a B in A Level maths?

Seems like your teacher is right.
You should drop it.
At this level, you are supposed to be independent already instead of relying on the teacher.

Grow up and learn it yourself, tons of information on the internet, if not drop it.
Life isnt all that rosy and dreams don’t come true from just “wanting” it.
You need to work hard too if you want your dream job. If not, then drop it.

i once gave tutoring to my cousin in terms of math. i can give you some help but you need to put a whole lot of effort into it. although, why would you want to do something that you fail a subject in for your whole life in the future? and if you wanted to go that path, shouldn't you have put a whole lot of effort for improvement before spm?

do you hate maths? if you dont hate it but just suck at it atm then dont give up. study with your friends, ask other math teacher to teach you on stuff you are having difficulties. Go learn on the internet like Khan Academy, Youtube, etc there is a lot of resources you can find to help you understand easily..

Did you fail your SPM ad maths cos you didn't concentrate?
Or did you try your best and still failed?
If the latter then you probably don't have the aptitude for math and should go study / do something that doesn't need a strong mathematical background.

Why did you fail tho? I mean like did you put an effort during SPM? If you fail because you didn't put an effort, like you can actually can do it but you didn't even try, you should go for this math A-level or whatever provided that you work really really hard
If you really can't do it, as in incapable of mastering the concept or whatever, you should find something that you good at?
i don't know i'm just saying though lmao

Do more exercise and tutorials until you memorize all the formula and steps. Practice makes perfect. If you are not willing to spend time to study yourself, then drop the subject better.

If you got A for mod math, you should try doing A-level maths. But if can't even cope with mod maths, you better follow your teachers advice. But further maths is a whole different world.

First ask yourself, what will you do after A-levels. Will you enroll in course that need high level of mathematical calculations? If no the drop it, you "failed" Ad Maths, not getting a B or C. And if you really want to, work extra hard and get help from fellow students, pick yourself up.
