for me, there is no point to get D40x.

It's either D40 or D80.

can we put in words like D80 is for the semi pro and D40 is for beginners? icon_idea.gif

But the D80 has a servo motor that would be really usefull right interms of focus speed and lens capability?

yes, D40x>D40 but whats the point u pay more jsut for the extra 4MP and iso100?

It's not like the D40x got built in focus motor.

D40 iso200 is very less noise, no iso100 is ok. 10MP, u need that? For me 6MP is enough.

to TS: go for D80 ler since budget is not a problem..

advantages:
1. better control of your camera
- a few easy-to-reach shortcut such as WB, ISO, QUAL, continuous, metering, AFmode..
- 2 rollers - one for shutter speed.. one for aperture(dunno is it call roller or dial)..
- small LCD panel on top of the camera is almost a must for u to easily control the setting..

2. Kelvin mode in WB
- this is very useful as u can set the WB by color temperature.. for more ask shinchan^^ tongue.gif kekeke...

3. support AF in wider range of lens..
- while D40/D40x just support AF-S otherwise u need to ManualFocus..
- very useful when u buy 50mm f/1.8 tongue.gif

4. 18-135mm lens vs 15-55mm lens tongue.gif

5. easier to hold..

so far this is wat i can think of.. will add if can think of any.. smile.gif
