Even you have RMB in your WeChat pay you are not allowed to use it in Thailand. You will need to verify identity by using China ID in order to pay using WeChat RMB wallet in Thailand.

Well, cross-border payments have heightened concerns about money laundering. It's not easy to just start supporting international credit cards.

You must be purchased from China website. If you using offline payment outside China you will prompt with this message.
