Intermediate Terrace (Double Storey)
RM295k
1020sqft (Build up though)
Currently single, no commitment other than PTPTN and Phone bill
Not keen to move in new house when it is done building, as I might stay in current house with family and rent it out

Appreciate your comments other than vote smile.gif Thanks all, have a good day.

Agreed though. But having said this is not in KL. People here go to work by bus. Its like 15-20mins driving duration to reach town(office area). If jam will take another 10mins.

Thanks for reply. Yes I can pay without tenant too. Just wondering if this house is super small, or acceptable though.

imagine they got family living in 700++ sq ft house, 1000++ is good enough for around 4 adults but definitely you cant hope to have luxurious space here for other thing like study room/game room

i cant comment on the price since yours in labuan, you can check the property around that area and check what is the price per sq ft, like yours is 295,000 / 1020 sq ft, around RM289/sqft, the lower the cheaper.

For me, it is a good buy.
Let say if there is 2 options,
1000sf condominium vs 1000sf double storey built up terrace
which is your choice? would it still the double storey built up terrace?

how scarce is landed house at your area? although its quite small... but if the location u are at right now is not that huge... then it make more sense to build small size landed... you can check the renting rate of nearby properties as well to gauge....

If money is not an issue, maybe get the corner lot with a bit more land.

My current house with parents is terrace double storey house too. Its 2000sqft after all extension and everything, yes the house posted above is smaller than current house. As for the rental, I will do more research and gauge smile.gif Thanks though.

If buy to stay until retirement, not need to think twice.

If buy to temporarily stay, need to compare within that staying period how much the value increases. Will it increase as much as the interest you paid to the bank. If it less, is it less than the amount if you are renting. smile.gif

I see.. Thanks for the information.. Yea, my plan is to have our own house (if i married in the future), instead of staying with parents. But my concern, if people would like to stay this house forever until retired. doh.gif If it is really too small, perhaps, I will look for bigger house, of course more expensive in this case.

Well, at the end you can only estimate because you don't know what will happen in future. Many big families will buy big house but one by one their children start leaving and the houses become empty. Many old folks in city will just move to a small apartments. Anyway, the houses most likely will not be selling below purchase price. By that time, the money is not your priority anyway smile.gif
