QUOTE(k!nex @ Jun 25 2018, 11:50 AM) Volta is not for consumer cards. It is meant for AI use in the enterprise market. a lot miners & user selling at garage sale b4 tuing come out lol.The consumer version is call Turing. Things that was told: 1. Turing will support new direct x 13. And thts y you need those Tensor Cores that Pascal cards dont hv. 2. We know Volta is using HBM2, either 3072 or 4096 bit memory bus width. Turing will be using GDDR6, 256bit memory bus width. Gtx1180 will come with 8gb vram only. Rrp usd730. Rumours say gtx1180 will release on July 30. We shall see abt tht. if turing come out can see 1070 go to RM1K. |

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Aug 21 2018, 10:26 AM) Almost hit that pre-order button... then I thought, geesh, my processor guaranteed to bottleneck (first gen i7-870 ~ OC to 4GHz) which already being pushed by a GTX 970. DX12 and vulkan can allow Q9650 sustain a RX480 at 100%. Imaging that. I'll wait for reviews and perhaps see if a system upgrade is really needed. Apparently the consensus on the presentation was underwhelming - 70% Ray Tracing lecture, 25% Gameplay, 5% GeForce RTX GPU details. The part I was most looking forward to were the list of games that would support Ray Tracing (PUBG??) and comparison to Pascal performance for games but the latter... was never revealed. I think your CPU is good till GTX1070. |

2500K 4GHz what GPU to max out without CPU bottleneck? 1060 or 1070 or 1070ti?
plan to run @ 1080p @ 100fps (I got 144Hz monitor, but i thinking maintain contant 100fps is easier) How is Zotac warranty if send to RMA send to local right? Last time i heard need to send to HK for extended warranty. Still same like that? |

QUOTE(terradrive @ Sep 22 2018, 01:55 PM) GTX1070 is right around the bottleneck figures it will be between 1060 or 1070.Heck my 4.6Ghz 6600k which is slightly slower than 4.3Ghz 4770k also bottlenecks my GTX1070ti in some games at 1440p. Do you know how much your 1070ti bottleneck by 6600K @ 1080p? Like GPU usage % how much when CPU is @ 100%. might wanna estimate if 1070 might bottleneck by my 2500K as well, if also like that then I aim for 1060 save some money. haha This post has been edited by Boldnut: Sep 22 2018, 09:56 PM |

QUOTE(terradrive @ Sep 23 2018, 07:25 AM) Hard to say, it depends on the game and graphic settings: thanks for info man. I can pretty much guess how my 2500K fare when paired with 1070 non-Ti @ 1080p (I probably will use AA as well). Monster Hunter World around 60fps faced CPU bottleneck DOTA 2 cannot break past 200fps because CPU bottleneck. My friend who had 4.5Ghz 6700k can break past Rise of tomb raider CPU bottleneck around 90fps i guess it is all right around gtx1070/ti limit oh ya, when i was hit with cpu bottleneck, GPU usage is like around 90%, not 99%, but on 1440p I should be getting around the same ~slightly bottleneck with 1070. This would be the last upgrade on this old machine, by the time it become too slow, the next PC I will go all-in buying whole platform. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jan 7 2019, 03:38 PM) Notice how all manufacturers for those 12 monitors except for BenQ has been sucking nvidia's D for the last 10 years? please murder the price. Also it's very odd how the Acer XG270HU is certified but the XF270HU isn't? On a separate note - those who want to sell their 1070, 1070ti and 1080 better do so now. 2060 will murder 1070 second hand prices. I wanna buy 1070ti at RM900 or 1070 at RM700 but at $349 USD, I think RTX2060 will price here at RM1600-RM1900 range. This post has been edited by Boldnut: Jan 7 2019, 06:45 PM |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jan 7 2019, 07:00 PM) It's about consistency, not about whether it matters or not. Otherwise why the hell is there a need for certification? Nvidia is clearly using this certification to indirectly jab at AMD and using it as a marketing tool. last time 1070 is b4 mining craze priced $349 also, so it should in these price range. You sure or not? Incoming Asus retarded price of RM2399..... |

QUOTE(solarmystic @ Jan 8 2019, 03:39 PM) Price inflation in M'sia will push it closer to RM2K, mark my words. basically for GPU it is RM5: 1 USD. These problem is because of huge mark up by 3rd party distributor. (not the retailer) Although I've to say that the 2070 is now rendered pointless at that pricepoint given that an OC'ed 2060 can almost reach 2070 for 150 USD cheaper, in the past the distance between the xx60 and xx70 cards was very well defined so that NVIDIA could prevent cannibalization of their x70 cards for cheaper x60 cards. This is gonna be the most expensive x60 card ever released though. You see Intel CPU mark up also not this much. |

QUOTE(diehard1979 @ Jan 11 2019, 03:01 PM) https://www.extremetech.com/gaming/283480-n...y-underwhelming why bother what Nvidia do?Nvidia CEO Sneers at AMD Radeon VII, Calls It ‘Lousy’. Nvidia so lansi. Keep increasing the price on graphic card from year to year. 1 graphic card price take up almost 50/60% of total computer cost. "And if we turn on DLSS we’ll crush it. And if we turn on ray tracing we’ll crush it.” He like "crush" so much. How about make it "crash"? How about RTX2080ti crashing? How about Nvidia stock price crashing? Nvidia increasee price u can choose no buy Nvidia increase price you can choose remain ur budget. For ex. If last time u pay RM1K for GPU, you can pay again 1K for newer GPU, if the new one not much performance increase, continue use your current one. Nvidia will get no money out from your pocket. |

QUOTE(diehard1979 @ Jan 11 2019, 11:55 PM) good lah, let him keep increase price. Now stock price even fall like hell. no need to salty lah, just buy want the market offers that you think is worth. If nothing worth, save money buy expensive food eat. Next year got Intel come in. That time got 3, see can keep increase price or not. The vga market is that small only. 2 already not enough to eat later got 3. Lucky got AI and other thing that need it, if not, not many people keep feeding them with that price. People want is GTX1100 series rather than fancy things RTX with jack up price. |
