QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Jul 3 2019, 07:48 PM) Same here. Currently using the FTW3 1080 Ti and loving it! I'm waiting for one without RTX actually. I don't really need RTX tech in my games. If they are willing to have some alternative I'm all in for that. But the jump and how it's costing double the money, I'm not interested to get one. If it's price like how it was when 980ti and 1080ti was launched sure.. but not the 2080ti Eventually it will be an RTX GPU for me, hopefully next year. |

Tested 2070 on super ultrawide monitor, not bad, maxed setting, 4k, 144hz, but locked to 60fps. At least according to the settings in the game lol. One of the rigs at Viewnet, with the new asus super ultrawide they are selling.
Still waiting for 30 series or something to upgrade. 1080ti to 2080ti jump in price, not worth it |

Not even mentioning how the game is barely optimized.. and how many bugs and broken it is at launch.

They don't gimp anymore. I've been comparing old drivers before 20 series comes out and current one's there is no significant performance lost. This is old mindset that should be gone by now.

I don't think the next ti for the 30 series is gonna be any cheaper at this point. But I hope Nvidia prove themselves wrong, but then again they are winning by a huge margin, so they will probably just milk it still.
Kinda wish AMD on the GPU side is as good as them on the CPU side. Would have made GPU pricing way way cheaper, if not more affordable. |

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Nov 26 2019, 07:31 PM) think alot of ppl dont realise how sucky freesync is Yeah I check if freesync is good and what not, gsync is just better tbh.its via scalar and driver and above certain fps 30etc gsync is a fpga module that handles everything 4k for example is a terrible idea with freesync on the 4k 120hz fpga module is another level of insanity and ocd that nvidia did. gsync just go for it dude. the only way gsync monitors will go down in price is nvidia finally made asic modules. that is if monitor panels has a high consistency in production. Just buy? Shouldn't wait for new models? |

Wait for 30 series, since Cyberpunk release is delayed, enough time to save up for 30 series..

Still holding to my 1080 Ti... personally I'd like the 30 series next time to have an option if they want RTX or GTX.. would be an easier choice for me.. no thanks for rtx cards, and I can live without it.
Hoping too much.. surely Nvidia don't care at this point.. 6k/8k+ for the next Ti for sure.. |

QUOTE(S4PH @ Jan 21 2020, 06:51 PM) Eye candy is one thing la bro, but performance in game is also another thing. That's why just aiming for non RTX if there is an option next time from Nvidia. RTX double the price wey, I'm not willing to pay that much for just better reflection, looking a little bit more realistic in game when the performance isn't good enough. Maybe next time la.Long has been the days where graphic is that important in games, when the thing that lacks in game this days is better gameplay. |

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Jan 29 2020, 08:35 AM) Not mine. Last month had a ton of crap troubleshooting for nephew on his 3600x with Asus strix on a asus strix x470 with This reminds me of back in the day where I fixed a bunch of friends lappy or desktop because of drivers being garbage.some acer nitro 27inch 1080p 144hz monitor. Its very random until i think the drivers are piling some garbage files thats causing it. Every-time DDU twice and everything will work again for a week. Its always some issue with driver after 40-50 hours of gaming on a comp thats always on. Games was BF, Call of duty , overwatch destiny 2 (the later dlc). For xmas few of us (uncles.. ) got him a 2060super. Havent heard a complaint this whole jan. Any thoughts on AMD cpu for gaming with Nvidia tho? I've been using Intel mostly so wonder how good it is overall. |

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Jan 29 2020, 09:18 PM) gaming always go for intel Currently what I thought as well, but yeah just needed some input on AMD CPU considering they are better over than Intel, just not for gaming yet. Thanks for the inputamd atm for multi threaded.. so more to all round amd cpus still causes bugs to new releases etc etc.. not the fault of amd per say but i am guessing somewhere in the pipeline for graphic instructions.. there need to be a different way for amd |

QUOTE(volrath @ Feb 16 2020, 09:34 PM) Anyway, is it normal for cards this size and performance to get cooked to 80-84 degree celcius? In actual gaming. Is it okay to stay that way or i have to tone down the game's graphic settings? Pretty much normal. Nothing to be concerned about. 95c-105c is where it is concerning, and usually pc will shut down on its own. |

Price better be good.. if it's 2080ti pricing, most would definitely not buy again. They think consumers are that stupid
Still hoping for a GTX version without the RTX crap. |

QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Jul 5 2020, 11:32 AM) Is it a good or bad time now to get 2080? Or better to wait for the 3000 series? I last bought 1070 4 years or so ago... a bit out of touch dee Wait for the newer line up. Bad time to get a new one now. kevyeoh and edmund_yung liked this post
