QUOTE(terradrive @ Dec 26 2022, 10:00 PM) sien my AX860 broke, no time to wait for ATX3.0 psu and ended up buying HX1200, luckily it's priced nicely at the computer shop @rm1k so hard to install on my smaller sized ATX casing because the cables all oversized and rigid capacitor section near the end of every plug Doesn't it have like 10 years warranty? Your ax860? Or it's older than that.

QUOTE(antaras @ Dec 30 2022, 10:35 PM) from what I read, the OC version on ANY brand is more like a scam. LOL... Not really as there are OC versions with better VRMs or even higher power limit due to an additional 8 pin plug for example. There are youtube videos explaining these for most rtx 30 cards so an informed decision can be made as to whether that particular model/brand/ variant punya OC gpu is worth the extra price or not.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jan 3 2023, 02:43 PM) Haha yes. Haih I'm super salty against nvidia now just like many others. I mean we are about to get an x70ti card with 3 plus slot cooler, close to 300w power use, with a price tag of 4-5k once it reaches here. How to be excited la....

QUOTE(ExCrIpT @ Jan 4 2023, 06:54 PM) looks like 4070 is best bang for buck. 4060ti is gonna be around 2-2.5k..... I guess I'll be getting one of those perhaps. I wanna get a dual slot card anyway so I think my choices are gonna be limited. Looking at laptops too, my TUF A15 is the one from early 2021.if I can get a 2023 one with twice the perf for below 7k may replace it too haha. But yeah I don't think that's gonna happen.

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Jan 7 2023, 11:23 PM) Shoot, none of the nvidia AIB has any 4070ti/4080 gpu with length lower than 30cm. Edit: forgot to mention there is no nvidia reference gpu being sold here either. The only modern GPU with less than 30cm length is AMD reference MBA 7900 xtx 28cm which supposedly some batch has faulty vapor chamber and not available for sales in Malaysia...... All new gen cards are way too thick and long unfortunately. Sometimes it does feel like GPUs have been going backwards in certain regards.

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Jan 22 2023, 10:24 PM) On top of that it's the noctua version which demands a premium price compared to a standard 3070.... 4070 launching at 3.2k is gonna be as hilarious as all the other Ada so far....

4070 reviews are out. 600usd (around 3k MYR) for a more efficient 3080 (200w vs 320w) which has the potential of beating even 3090...for frame generation supported games...
Will only consider if it has twice the perf of 1070ti on raster perf lol.
