Finally upgrade from Laptop to PC after so long never build PC.

Now happy owner of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080.

27" is not big enough for me. I will get either Ultrawide or maybe hoot-up a 48" LG CX OLED TV but too bad Malaysia not selling 48".

You guys are much better in terms of technology knowledge... I'm just about to build my new PC (part by part) since my last build which is 12-13 years ago!

my primary usage for it is for tensor flow, tapping onto its CUDA cores and gaming is just a bonus... haha so dont really need such expensive monitors .. in fact kinda happy and amazed that it has such a low utilization for max settings to enjoy such silence and temps~

However i have resigned and chilling everyday so havent really got up to set up the 3080 yet.. The only game i play is F1 2020 and Asseta Corsa on my Thrustmaster rig anyways ... and this 3080 running at 50C fanless at 1080 60hz is seriously amazing. Even my previous 2080 ramps up significantly.

With this price, there was little reason to go for rtx3070, unless nvidia come out with rtx3070ti with same msrp as 3070. The rtx3060ti is 20% cheaper with less than 10% performance than 3070 in average. Yup correct, this is PC games benefits, you choose what to compromise. To me a games is well optimise unless in low settings also can’t play or keep crashing.

Finally my new monitor is arrived.

Did some test and now I am freaking satisfied with the HDR output. No more over exposure issue.

VESA HDR certified is very important, monitor without VESA HDR certification is not meet the minimum HDR requirement and impact to the graphics output.

Below is some benchmark I just test it out, 3440x1440 resolution do impact some performance when compare with 2560x1440 resolution.

Nvidia said it would match 2080Ti, it did... sort of, mostly. So I guess you could say it lived up to expectations, but it didn't break it like what previous legendary 70 line up did. 970 made the 980 a pointless card, 1070 (especially 1070ti) practically deleted the existence of the 1080.

But Nvidia stopped that with the 2070 and they're following the trend here. I mean, what else could they do lol?
