Need advise from you all guys.
Im currently using Samsung normal monitor 4k 60hz with GTX1070. I'm planning to buy Dell 2k 144hz monitor to play an FPS games.

Should I buy RTX3070TI or RTX3080 or just wait for 40 series? Thank You

I didn't really validate your information but you have been saying the buy now if not price increase since few months back, despite the price has been decreasing. Is your source really accurate?

Once again, I didn't measure the number of your "don't be buy now" vs "buy now else price up" message ratio. My impression is that you always have been on "buy now else price up".

for some models, prices are actually increasing for the past 1 week icon_idea.gif

Yes, still profitable. I only mine on 3 cards. It still covers 3-4 times of electric cost (before was 10 times). It takes at least 16 months for payback (before was only 3-6 months). Mining now is to accomodate a scenario where eth merge will delay forever or that another pow coin will take eth's place.

Do u need air con room for that?

Sent my Asus 3060ti for "repair", one month later and they feedback no stock. Hence the shop propose for me to choose new GPU.
Bought my Asus tuf 3060ti for RM 3299 November 2021, picked up Asus KO 3070 and topup RM 51.
GPU prices definitely down but no where we can expect until MSRP

Offered me 3070TI topup RM 261.
Not familiar with that chinese brand though haha

Yeah that top up is fair. Don't worry about it ineser You got a brand new card that is superior for very little top up. That's great after all, isn't it?

I've had much much worse experience with EVGA (Suncycle).
First they returned back the broken card (without even letting EVGA troubleshoot) cuz the Malaysian distributor is too ****** to check properly.
Second time they finally sent to EVGA. EVGA replaced with a used and repaired card of the same model which arrived with the second bios hard-bricked from the start.
Got no mood to send this one in anytime soon and end up being short of 1 GPU for another few months. Again.
If they offered me a NEW 3090/ti as replacement for my 3080ti at a reasonable rate, such as yours. I'd have taken it in a heartbeat.

Should avoid evga now?

Wouldn't dare to say one should avoid from an isolated case but... to me this left the impression that EVGA's/Suncycle's relationship doesn't allow the latter to exchange 1:1 with new card (unless it was stock issue).
Hence RMA turnarounds will take much longer as every card has to be sent to Taiwan and be tested and repaired/replaced there.
EVGA Taiwan won't give you a new card unless you RMA within 30 or 60 days of date of purchase, not sure which of the two it was.

Suncycle themselves don't seem to be able to spot defect as well as the manufacturer. So if it's something less obvious where the card is not plain dead this might end up in you having to send in twice and end up north of two months for your card. It was almost 4 for me.

As for the bricked BIOS... no clue how this could have slipped them. Probably their testing routine just involves testing a single one.
Given that the Ampere EVGA cards in Malaysia (FTW3, XC3) are priced quite premium and that similarly priced cards such as the TuF/Strix have better PCB's (at least for 3080(Ti)/3090) and coolers I'd say there is barely any reason one should get one anyways.
I got one cuz I liked their warranty policy regarding water cooling but with the downsides experienced, this certainly was my last EVGA card.

Great to hear this because reddit is full of evga fan boys (can't blame that because they are Americans)

3000 series will be like 2000 series in end of the day
For those need upgrade from GTX to RTX, still can consider 3060 ti, 3070 ti and 3080 Ti, just ignore the Rtx 3090.
