I just connect my RTX 3080 to my LG C9 4K HDR TV for doing some 4K Gaming Benchmark.

This RTX 3080 is ready a beast! wow! I can get average 98 FPS in 3840x2160 which is 4K with all setting to maximum for Shadow of Tomb Raider. 😍

Now I need to buy a HDMI 2.1 cable in length of 3 meter. Using HDMI 2.0 I think not enough bandwidth as it keep switching the HDR and no HDR or Instant Game Mode from my LG C9 TV when set output as 120hz.

I hope it is the bandwidth issue instead of the VRR issue.
If this keep switching issue is due to VRR then I can only said LG C9 is not yet suitable for gaming in 4K HDR 120hz.

I'm using Ruipro, imported from Amazon US. 10m works, a bit pricey but I rather pay the price than deal with intermittent signal loss which drives me crazy.

Hi, I already solved the issue. Running perfectly now in 4K HDR 12bit 120hz.
Already nearly one day running, didn't face any signal lost.
Previously I face signal lost is due to I am using HDMI 2.0 cable.

I already shift my PC location, so I no longer need 3 meter cable, now 2 meter is sufficient.

I am using following brand brought from Harvey Norman.

- SAROWIN 8K HDMI CABLE VERSION 2.1

I using this brand HDMI 2.1 cable for all my device actually.
It cost only RM 89.00, you may try this brand in future.
But this brand so far only release 2 meter version, if need more than 2 meter than this brand cannot provide.

Maybe you unlucky and your cable is faulty, I check the comment, only one person give 1 star and using RTX3080, I guess that person is you. Haha!

I got total 3 units of this brand HDMI cable, all purchase at Harvey Norman and all work without issue to me.
2 of them I already use nearly a year. So far so good. Touch wood.

1) Connect my LG SoundBar SK9Y to LG C9 TV.
2) Connect my Apple TV 4K to LG SoundBar SK9Y running Full RGB.
3) Connect my PC RTX 3080 to LG C9 TV running 4K HDR 12bit 120hz. I play since I setup until now, no single signal lost and no blackout.

So far I never face any video signal lost issue when playback video up to 4K UHD HDR REMUX <<-- Direct playback by Apple TV 4K in exact quality without transcode.
I also never face sound signal lost issue where up to Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Atmos.
The most recent is today gaming up to 4K HDR 12bit 120hz and no issue as well.

I completed setup around 11 AM yesterday until now 12 AM didn't turn off the TV and PC yet. So far so good.

Hmmm okay, you may want to check one thing regarding this. Some time ago I read on reddit about how the Gigabyte Aorus Master 3080 actually do not have true dual HDMI 2.1 ports. Which is to say that only ONE of them is the true HDMI 2.1 port with full 48gbps bandwidth. I'm aware that you're using the Gaming OC, but the problem could be extended to all their SKUs. Did you switch ports and check?

Probably we should not recommended any brand as they is no brand 100% confirmed work anymore. It work for me may not work for you, it work for you may not work for others.

The Zotac Solid OC is 6k, is the MSI brand worth RM 800 more?

Another way of looking at it is do you need a gpu rn? If you do and has been waiting for 5080 availability, buy it and don't look back. The price might go down when the stock stabilise but I personally would like to lift the burden of hunting gpu
