Bought a used Xeon X5675 CPU on E-bay for USD $30 just for fun.
Using Asus X58 Rampage III Formula motherboard that I bought back in 2009. OCed the CPU to 4.4GHz on air.

Lets just hope the wait for AMD 7nm is not long. Prices are not good with no competition. Nvidia charging USD1000+ for graphic card is insane.

Next year got Intel come in. That time got 3, see can keep increase price or not.
The vga market is that small only. 2 already not enough to eat later got 3. Lucky got AI and other thing that need it, if not, not many people keep feeding them with that price.

People want is GTX1100 series rather than fancy things RTX with jack up price.

see whether those that like to chase can keep support them forever or let them fall down like IPhone. (IPhone like to jack up the price from each new model now sales drop like hell) They though apple supporter can keep support forever no matter what price they put in without much useful and new things add in.

No one will keep support something that keep increase the price without much value introduce into it.

When ryzen came in, AMD also not price to match slot with whatever intel equivalent. It provide more with cheaper price so see Intel want to get GPU market or not.
Epic store want to compete with valve and now they offer more for developer to go exclusive with them.

That pricing is a shady. I learned my lesson on how excited I was when I jumped the Polaris hype train haha! I always take everything with a grain of salt. Until the reviews are out, it's all just marketing.

Mr Huang on "maximum efforts" mode to suppress AMD products on every sector.. 

The new 418.81 driver causes a lot of blanking. It got rid of the slight flickering on the top corner but the blanking is so bad, I had to revert to the previous driver. No bueno for me. Using a GTX 1080.

With all the DLSS hoo-hum going around now, I guess Pascal is still a better buy?

RTX 2080 Ti can be acquired for under RM 5k, not far off from GTX 1080 Ti was but a lot faster at that.

You get GTX 1080 Ti performance level with RTX 2080 with is RM 3k+, again not crazy price.

The list goes on.

RTX 2060 and below are actually really good for performance per dollar.

RTX 2070 and above, slight improvement from before.

At least now there's RTX 2080 Ti for sub RM 5k.

how reliable is this brand? 

I don't see a point of getting it this early either. I'll just wait for the tech to mature first, and for it to become more affordable.

can 2080 handle that? or need 2080ti?

I still can't seem to make the leap to RTX GPUs... If I were to upgrade from my 1080 Ti, it would only make sense to go to 2080 Ti. But the difference in performance between the two in non-RTX titles, that unfortunately I feel I cannot justify. 

"Metro Exodus" takes the cake for best RTX implementation followed by "BFV".

What would it take? Perhaps "Cyberpunk 2077". RTX is still 'nice to have' to me.

Cards often lose out on price to performance ratio as they go higher up (and lower down as well).

1080ti worst than 2060?

Well lets see how the non nvidia ray tracing tech/performance goes. Gtx users might get a boost if it proves to be too good/devs switch and optimize code.
