Maybe your card doesn't come with Pin & Pay tech? The card itself very old already?
To be honest the fastest way to know the actual reason is by calling Maybank hotline...

For m2u, possible to cash advance just RM200?
It seem they have a minimum amount of RM2000 for ezycash, correct?

Working now.. not convenient to call their cus service.

I think the first thing to note is that you're drawing cash on your credit card. You seriously need to reconsider your financials, if you're doing cash advances; You're instantly charged interests the moment you do that.

Yeah, interest rate will be charge instantly on the cash advance amount. I have studied and calculated. Thay is why i only cash advance RM200.

set pin for your cc..
Then, only go to atm with note credit card
advance withdrawal or something like that..
So far most maybank atm no feature for that..
Better go to public bank / cimb atm..
Different bank different rate i think..

I think my credit card already set PIN because i have use it to purchase things over the counter for many times with PIN.
When i insert my credit into maybank ATM, i can enter my PIN without problem just that when i choose the amount that need to withdraw then it show the message.

What do you mean by " So far most maybank atm no feature for that.." ? Their ATM machine can not withdraw money by using credit card.

Unfortunately you cannot cash out your money from your cc like that. Thats why they implement ezycash. bank want to make money you know la hor. Btw my kolik experienced this few years back. I dont know if they already change and can withdraw the money. I'll ask my friend who work at bank and PM you.

Some places provide cashback option for a fee.
Meaning they'll charge your card then give you cash.

Fyi. The cash advance atm pin and credit card 6 digit pin is different.

Usually the pin is sent together with the credit card itself when u applied it.

Call Maybank to reset the pin if u seriously need to cash. Or like others mentioned, go apply for ezycash and pay up with the rest which u don't need for lower interest rate.

Do you even read his earlier post BEFORE he replied he used all his savings on his father's medical bills?

Asking for assistance without telling the complete story leads to different advise if you read all those posts before TS replied!

Doctor CANNOT cure you if you just say your are sick.

Some people are trying to explain the cons of taking cash advance so that he wont get into debts. I look at it is lack of financial planning for 200RM.

Is not shy to ask for help if you tell the truth just like sick people seek public donations for medical expenses through the press.

I would have advised him to get an advance from his company if is for his father's medicall bill which most company would help on humantarian grounds. Alternatively, I can recommend him a shop to charge his card for RM200 for cash without buying anything. Just pay 3% merchant fee which is only RM6. No cash withdrawal fee, no interest and pay only on statement due date to the bank. By the way, the shop is not doing money lending. Is just to avoid paying miniumum transaction cost to the bank and if the person willing to pay merchant fee.

What would you have advise TS if you read all post before TS replied,? We cant read people's mind .... we can only read what is written up to a point of time.

By the way, TS would have got the money without difficulty if he had asked the bank for help. If the bank's computer system dont allowed such withdrawal, I dont think LYN members will be of help.

Taking cash advance from credit card or 'along' is NEVER a solution to solve financial problems even though is temperorary.

Easy money NEVER comes cheap. Interest 18%

Cheap money NEVER comes easy ... why banks are strict when applying for loans. Interest 5%.

Cash back is not equal to cash advance.

Cash back is promotion / marketing to use the card. Free money plus no interest charge.

Cash advance is a loan from the bank. One time cash advance fee charged per withdrawal and interest from day of withdrawal until full settlement.

Answer .... ACCEPT.

Ts. Just go to any bank atm machine that have visa/mastercard logo will do. Before that try using pencil eraser rubber to rub on the chip contact area then try again at those ATM that have cc card logo.

Yeah that's something that I learned the hard way too, when I first come out working every month salary I will just spend all of it, thinking that next month still got salary mah scare what? Then all of the sudden life did not go so well and hit me like a damn truck, had to borrow money here and there to solve my problems.
Right now I will consistently save a sum of money every month in my Alliance bank account as they provide up to 3.5% interest with no lock in period.

Yes, same goes to me, having at least a saving account help me alot when facing difficulties.

Its suitable for people who do business but not necessarily also, normal people also can use. The more money you put in the more interest they offer which is up to 3.5%, so you can earn quite a bit of extra money even without doing anything. It is safer than using your money to do investments which you dont have much knowledge about, rather earn a bit lesser but guarantee 100% earn.
*
Agree, Saving account at least can guarantee to earn some interest.

Its easy. You can't select fast cash after cash withdrawal, you are required to click on Other Amount, maximum withdrawal amount is RM1,000/day.
