It's not a notebook lar. It's a desktop replacement. It's meant for lifestyle segment for the rich ppl with nice interior design in teh home. It can be taken anywhere in a wifi home n still look nice without messy wires to complement teh interior design of the hse. Sum ladies can use it in the kitchens too.

If you want something more stylish an imac might fit that criteria slightly better which is arguably about as portable as this. IMO the HP is better suited for lan parties, but not for carrying around on a daily basis. The 7kg seriously is a bit too much for it to be truly portable.

The keyboard itself looks really uncomfortable, from my past experience of using of desktop replacement, and kinda unsuitable for prolonged gaming and daily use (although this is just based on the looks of the machine). Also it's arguable that the graphics card is somewhat underpowered for the resolution (wsxga: 1600x1024 do any new widescreen games support this resolution natively anyway?) since you can now get laptops with 8700gt mobility chips these days.

hahaha....my mom uses my old laptop in the kitchen too to check for KLSE stock prices while cooking sweat.gif ...i guess my mom fits into "some ladies" category too..

I like computers in the future to be as compact as it can be, just like this HP laptop. Really hope that laptop can be as easily customize as desktop PC. I used to have laptop, but then it gets worn out and parts get old, such as keyboards, and it's damn hard to get replacement. Really hope there's a standard hardware design, but chasis can be different.

Well, I tested this baby in my office. It even has subwoofer at the bottom. Sound is impressive playing movie and music. LCD is clear, playing HD content. Can plug in 5.1 speakers in it.

Kinda bulky but I heard it's priced at RM9K plus. It can act as TV, just plug in TV antenna behind, chip is in it. This is targeted to home user as extreme entertainment, desktop replacement and not for business purpose.
