does the GPS really works?
lets say if i wanna travel from Penang to KLCC... will it be really accurate in showing the route/way?

kinda interested if it's really accurate la...or else...useless also the GPS...

GPS is quite accurate these days, especially if your device uses the latest SiRF III Star GPS chip.

wah lan eh... if use GPS, the battery can't last even 8hrs?
i'm pretty sure i can reach KLCC from Penang within 8hrs...

but then again...i should not have problem using the highway la...only when reach kl city...

A normal WM5 based PPC phone running on GPS can last max 4 hours without needing a charge.

The N95, plagued with a rather poor battery life, should be much shorter when using GPS.

No the N95, sadly does not have the SiRF III Star GPS chip, that's why it has a slower Cold Start.

guy, i m new here, my brother said that N95 in Singapore are cheaper then m'sia, and if i get it from Singapore, is it can use in m'sia? and software inside is same? GPS work? include m'sia map or not? include chinese word? chinese input?
and have warranty in m'sia? mean if any problem i can take to m'sia nokia service center and they will solve my problem?

If it's unlocked then it can be used locally. Firmware should be the same, not sure about whether it has local maps or not.

No warranty in Malaysia for phones bought in Singapore.

If there's any problem, you can bring it to Nokia's SC in Malaysia but you'll be charged for anything done to the phone.

I recall early batches of N95 are unable to use data services out of the box.

What did you guys do to solve the problem?

I just bought the 6110 Navigator which features FP1, just like the N95.

Whenever I want to access any website, it says packet data: connection not allowed.

Any idea what's wrong?

It's active, and when I want to deactivate it, I'm asked for the PIN2 code.

Guess I have to request it from maxis?

Have you tried the method below?

QUOTE(bansai)
i think i can help you with that error... go to settings/connections/APN Control .. check whether Restrictions is active or inactive, if its active, disable it.. then you go to options and add a name manually.. create an empty name..
