If you play with a clan is much enjoyable hence if you just started out.perhaps your high level clan mates can carry you easily and also share max gear level drops so you level up fast at end game ,hope this helps

Just started this game and I think it's pretty fun. Anyone here reached max level yet? Saw a number of level 500 players hanging about in the safe rooms. Is it tedious to reach that level?

welcome aboard agent...500 is actually just their gear score, their level is 30. Level progression from 1 to 30 is pretty fun, storyline is serviceable (nothing groundbreaking)
to progress complete the main missions to level up, do some side missions and settlement projects to level up so that you are near the level requirement of each mission.
once you reach level 30, you have reached end-game and further your progression through world tiers 1 to 5, maxing at gear score 500.

However, a new gear system will be introduced on March 2nd, called Title Update 8.0(TU8) that will increase the gearscore to 515 and introduce a paid expansion called Warlords of New York. TU8 is free to owners of the base game, but the paid-expansion will add new end-game level to 40 with new missions, end game content such as seasons and SHD level progression..u can find out more from their website Warlords of New York

Ah thanks for the clarification. Was wondering how to reach level 500 if that was the actual case. Seems like the initial 30 levels is just a big tutorial for what's to come. Been loving the game so far, just might be tempted to get the expansion if the reviews are good.

After all the content they added to the game post launch, the 30 dollar price tag for the expansion is worth the money, IMHO.

if you bought the game during the recent sale, you are getting a ton of content for the money.
It was worth the money at full price, is even more worth it at that sale price.

Honestly, it's almost like stealing from the developers.

Eventhough I know I'm not going to go full force like on console, I bought the game again on PC during the sale because it was so cheap

Just read that there will be no more non-contaminated loot drop in the DZ anymore. Pretty sad given that it's pretty difficult going into the DZ solo and trying to extract

I bought the game on PS4 during the recent sale, set me back RM 36.00. Not sure if it comes with the expansion or not as after I booted the game yesterday (after the update) the expansion mission was already available on my map. Haven't given it a shot though as my level is still low, will try it after I hit 30.

RM36, is a really worth it...it does not include the expansion...by the time u reach level 30, then you decide to buy the expansion add-on (RM105).

lol i have lots of thing to catch up on this game after left it for a long time. just finish white oak camp and coney island last night. kenley college was damn long to do so i skip it half way. now arrived at NYC already. damn this place really bring the good and bad memories of TD1.

the latest update, did they really take out the "thieves den's" in darkzone?

The latest update makes my unable to come out of settlements and safe houses. Even if I do fast travel to a moving convoy, loot boxes in the open world cannot be opened. And for some strange reason, this only happens at night! When I start the game the next morning, everything is OK again. It seems that the last update breaks more stuff than it fixes..
