I have a Filipino friend who planned to bring a family member to Malaysia for cancer treatment after finding out that Malaysia is apparently one of the best country for Medical Tourism.

The patient is receiving treatment in Philippines right now but it's not showing any improvement but the medical costs is getting higher to the point that she can no longer support it with her salary in Malaysia. After realizing getting treatment here in Malaysia instead could save up to 50% of the medical fees she is considering to bring her family member over.

Can anyone that has experience with Medical Tourism in Malaysia provide some information how can she make this possible? At the moment she is pretty much clueless and relying on information from Google. The situation is kinda urgent as well, so I would be very grateful if anyone can provide any kind of information, such as things to do or to avoid etc...
