GUys,

I am using N73ME, and uploaded quite some songs..may i know how can I seperate the mp3 ringtone from my normal mp3 for listening (other than creating playlist)?

The music player will just add up everything that I 've in the Sound Clips folder and my ringtones are being played as well when I was listening to the music.

Also, how can we actually play the mp3 by folder? Let's say I have 2 folders, 1-for english songs 2- for Chinese songs. How can I tell the music player to only play chinese song? I find it quite inconvenient that I am not able to create the playlist by browsing thru the folders of MP3 that I've populated.

Btw, I find it hard to set my sms tones, as I've to browse through all my mp3s to find the right one for it via Profile->edit. Is there a better way to do so?

Perhaps someone may have a better idea of managing the mp3s for N73ME, pls feel free to share :-)

Hi guys,

I updated my firmware to 3.0705.1.0.31 from 3.0638.0.030.
I was expecting the new FW will have the option of EXIT button from Music player which V3.0638.0.030 missed out.

Though V3.0638.0.030 allow us to quit the music player from equaliser menu, but now this is no longer possible for 3.0705.1.0.31, means the music player cannot be killed at all :-( I was expecting the EXIT option shall be included in the music player but it don't...since I recalled in between 3.0638.0.030 and 3.0705.1.0.31, there's FW released to solve this.

Just finished the FW update, I hope I can find out some improvement.
Guys, please feel free to share if you found some improvement as well.

I've been using N73ME for 2 months now, I've some concern/questions that anyone may help:

1-Whenever I dial a number directly, let's say I've saved my fren's name:ABC in my phonebook with number 012-1234567, then I if I dial 1234567 directly, the name ABC won't appear on the phone, but instead, it's will just appear as 1234567. Is this normal? I tried the same on my bro N80, and this does not happen, where ABC can still be displayed automatically, if I've dialled 1234567 manually. Is there any settings issue here?

2-SMS word definition. I realized that some of the words will not be saved into my own "word" when using T9. A very good example will be the word "hibernate". Everytime I type an SMS, I've to manually defined these words bacause the T9 combination does not have such words, even though it's has been manually defined already previously. I am wonder if the T9 "memory" is full or is there any settings that I can dig out to find out the "defined" word like we can find in SE phone? I found this rather irritating becoz I've to redefine the same word, again and again(!!!) everytime I want to use it :-(

I'm using the latest firmware 3.7.xxxx

Thanks for your reply, perhaps this is the new firmware bug? I believe this is quite irritating for those using the same FW as mine :-(
Hope nokia will realize that and fix it in the upcoming FW.

Guys and gals,

Do we have any application like "download manager" to manage our download for N73? I subscribed to unlimited data plan, and tried to download some songs, and i found it very hard to manage the download, even sometimes the download won't start when I click on the link..same using Opera also..

haha..thanks for the reminder ya, it's outdated, eveN MU has won EPL titile oledi with AIG sponsor..

So lousy why PC suite cant backup MMS...without the text+picture, not nice la...jst save the item alone it self :-(

Is there anyway to restore the SMS back to inbox after reformatting the phone?

I went to langkawi that day and saw a fellow taking pic with his HP. From far away it looked like N73 but I went near by I saw the hp has no joystick, instead it is like an N73 with joypad. I was totally surprise, maybe it's an N73 with modified casing or it's an Nok** imitated phone from china(I saw this post in LYN sometimes ago)

If there's 3rd party casing which can replace the joystick with the joypad, that'll be really goodnews for N73 user. Logically I think it's possible. If you tried goggle around, when N73 casing is opened, we can see there r 4 direction button and 1 center select button for the joystick connected to it, which means N73 joystick is not the "real joystick concept" like the one found in SE phones.

Have anyone seen it before?

can we flashed our phone from ME to normal version? Is it by just rewriting the product code?

Hi guys,

Do you ever experience before, for SMS in N73ME. From time to time we will define words in T9 and then it will remembered in our phone, so we don't need to define again next time. But after sometimes, it stops "remembering" the new word again. so I have to keep defining the same word;-(....I using latest N73ME FW. Anyone have this issue?

*I formatted my phone and it was ok last time but now it haunts me again :-(
