Wanna ask, in the case of parents with 3 adult offspring.
1. If only one person files ITR (other 2 do not need to pay income tax) , he can claim all the RM3000 relief, or only RM1000 regardless?

2. If all 3 file ITR, the max relief each can file is RM1k or depends on "negotiation" among the 3 siblings? Like, RM2000, RM800, RM200 respectively?

1. Are your parents age 60 years old and above?
2. If only 1 child claim, he can claim all rm3000
3. If all 3 child claim, each rm1k equally.
*
1. yes, and no income
2. if the children are not on talking terms, what happens if the third child claims RM1000 and the first and second children claim RM1500 each as they usually did in the past (both assume the third child does not claim)? Total claim would be RM4000 confused.gif

Defuk. Go talk la, your own siblings.

If still insist not to talk, be safe and claim only 1k for yourself. But you're dead anyway if the other child claim all 3k for himself.

When you enter in system, there is only field to put "how many people are claiming", example 3 child. U can't put any amount. System will auto-divide 3000/3=1000

When LHDN checks u and siblings claim more on your parents quota, pay penalty la.

tongue.gif every family has its own problem, right?

I understand you know about the auto-divide. So, if the third child puts 3 children claiming and the relief becomes Rm1000, and the two older siblings put 2 person claiming, that means they are overclaiming, and not the third child, right?

Yes, but you need to minus the cost of doing business - fuel, car loan, maintenance fees etc.

If the amount is more than 0, use the B form. Tax rate is your income + part time profit.

Please correct me if I am wrong. As driving Grab is not considered doing a business, can one claim the expenses like fuel and maintenance - and car loan? The logic is, regular wage earners do not get to claim the transportation cost of going to work.

Ok just found this for you guys doing grab. Yea, it’s confirmed deductible smile.gif not car loan though...

But as usual, receipts are needed - physical receipts or pictures of the said receipts.
