This morning i have a total pool of 109 GB

But now it shows 94 GB because they removed my Hotlink Postpaid Loyalty Free 15GB (which i also habis guna @ 0GB/15GB)

I wonder that 15GB will come back or not since now it is 30GB ?

I'm using old plan Hotlink Postpaid 40 which i reject to upgrade to new one HP45.

So my pool now consist of

1) Hotlink Postpaid 40 - 4GB YouTube
2) Hotlink Postpaid 40 - 30GB
3) HP Loyalty Free 30GB (4G/5G)
4) HP Loyalty Free 30GB (5G)

5) Hotlink Postpaid Loyalty Free 15GB <--- this one disappear

6) monthly claim 5GB
*
Mine 15gb loyalty got removed earlier. My take is 15gb will not come back, it is replaced with HP Loyalty Free 30GB 4g/5g.

Today I'm gonna port out temporary and port back to Hotlink Postpaid 60 with rm20 discount for east Malaysia. I feel it is more worth it for paying the same rm40 but with more data. smile.gif

this is interesting. how long does the RM20 rebate last? can't seem to find it in the SSTC, or maybe i missed it
*
For as long as you do maintain the same plan and not taking any device with your line. I confirm this with Maxis centre staff, but he said cannot change my existing plan to east malaysia offer, hence I decided to port out and port in after few days. Now in the process of waiting SMS confirmation to port out.

*
Maybe I'm late already. can't find the free pass under rewards page.

i have one 012 and one 017 number, and according to the CS 012 numbers cannot subscribe to hotlink postpaid. sounds like nonsense to me.
*
Yeah that is nonsense. Did the CS give any reason to that? Otherwise I think you better walk in to Maxis Centre and convert the number to Hotlink postpaid.

QUOTE(!@#$%^ @ Aug 31 2024, 12:26 PM)
i was told speedcap 30mbps  sweat.gif
*
No such thing. I am using Hotlink 45 and can get full speed as any other 5G.

QUOTE(Xange @ Sep 3 2024, 09:37 AM)
Hi, does anyone here used to be in maxis family package and MNP/switched to hotlink postpaid? I need some guidance as I planned to switch to Hotlink Postpaid 45 for all my 4 lines and subscribe time fiber as they just laid cable to my apartment here.

The monthly fee is cheaper too, RM295.74(Time 200mbps + 4 Hotlink 45) vs 359.35 (Maxis Family for 4 with 100mbps speed upgrade) I am done with maxis family plan after a year they still dont give us free speed upgrade like they did to maxis postpaid + fiber

The last time i asked in maxis center at ekocheras, they said all my line must convert to hotlink prepaid for a month then only can convert to postpaid, is it same with yours?
*
all your line will be decouple as There is no supplementary line for Hotlink Postpaid. Once converted to prepaid and past the 1 month cooling period, just call 123 and ask CS to convert to Hotlink Postpaid.
Another alternative way to not wait for the 1 month cooling period is to port out all line to another telco prepaid then MNP back to Hotlink Postpaid.

You can call CS to ask for upgrade to Maxis postpaid. If can they will immediately upgrade, if need cooling period they will inform you accordingly.

QUOTE(Addword @ Sep 14 2024, 02:09 PM)
Hi everyone,

I'm interested in switching from Hotlink Postpaid from Maxis postpaid 128 w/ 2 supp lines. Can anyone elaborate me on the process on the switch? Is there any down time (most of my concerns honestly)?

I also saw a mention of cooling off period, may I know what's a cooling off period?

Appreciate if I could get some replies especially those that have done the same.
Thanks a ton!
*
1. You have to decouple all the sup line from main line. There is no supp line for Hotlink postpaid.
2. No downtime, it's just a plan change on their end and you restart your phone to a new Hotlink service.
3. Cooling off period usually refers to a period of time where you are not allowed to switch plan. For example you cannot change from postpaid to prepaid within the first 6 months of using postpaid. However usually change from one postpaid to another postpaid plan is allowed if your line has no contract.

You can call 123 and ask to downgrade Maxis postpaid to Hotlink postpaid, which will take like 2 3 days. They would even try to give you another offer to stay on Maxis postpaid which you can accept or reject. Can also walk in to Maxis centre to do it. However do take note sometimes the staff at Maxis centre not willing to do the downgrade, they will give you 101 reasons.

Thanks for the detailed reply!
Just wondering if I, one person could do all the changes? As my current plan is shared between my sister and my father (I’m the main line). Worry that 3 seperate hotlink postpaid requires 3 different identity to register them.
*
You as principal line holder can do the decoupling. To convert to Hotlink postpaid after that need to be done individually unless all line registered under your name.

QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 15 2024, 11:51 AM)
what is the reason for u guys to sign hotlink postpaid while hotlink prepaid has the same price and exactly the same thing (data and calls etc..)

e.g. the rm60 hotlink prepaid pantas pass that can use the data in lion city for free is the same as the current hotlink postpaid rm70 plan (with discount of rm10 if sign up new but only for 6 months i think) and need to pay 6% SST somemore...
*
Mostly the same answer. No need to remember when to reload or buy passes, just pay the monthly bill as you use. Hotlink postpaid get doubled the quota after you subscribed more than 6 months (loyalty bonus).
For those who need, hotlink 60 and 70 you can buy midrange phone with contract. Lastly those who stay in East Coast & East Malaysia get Rm10 - Rm20 discount monthly.

Hotlink Prepaid now get the same amount of data by paying RM20 lesser... We continue kena cut carrot by Maxis?

If you stay more than 6 months your data should be doubled from existing. But yeah if don't need ESIM, better switch to prepaid.

Good news indeed, though I will never finish my monthly quota. This is timely move given that they have upgraded data for Hotlink prepaid. They cannot let postpaid users downgrade to prepaid because of same benefit.

If you have been with Hotlink Postpaid for more than 6 months, you get double of the data plan. So Hotlink Postpaid better deal if you have no shared line and don't care about device deals.

Hotlink postpaid roaming rates are more expensive than Maxis Postpaid but I also have CD Kuning as secondary line. CD has better roaming rates, regardless prepaid or postpaid. So whenever I roam, I will subscribe to CD roaming plans.

Maxis postpaid 109 and above all become unlimited data. I wonder what's the point of getting any plan above 109 now

Nowadays the loyalty programme seems catchy! If u stay above 6 months with Hotlink Postpaid (any plan), you will get many bonus data which is good as an appreciation to its customers!
*
Yes, and also if one is in the east coast or east Malaysia, sign up for the respective ECEM plan to get Rm10 - rm20 discount.

How you get until 330gb?
*
Base quota: 100GB (4G/5G) + 100GB (5G).
After 6 months: get additional loyalty bonus 50GB (4G/5G) + 50GB (5G).
And then recently inside Hotlink app, got exclusive reward of 30gb data without contract for 24 months.
Oh there is also the monthly reward of 10GB data, so total 340GB.
The Hotlink postpaid 60 also has discount of Rm20 for east M'sia, therefore monthly Rm40 +6% tax.

The discount for how long?

I didn't opt for the new plan and still stick to the old one since 2022 ?

Discount for East M'sia and east coast is permanent as long you do not change plan or take any device.

QUOTE(petpenyubobo @ Mar 12 2025, 06:33 PM)
Is the Hotlink Postpaid 30 plan supposed to be a joke or non existing plan?

RM30 for only 2GB 4G/5G + 2GB 5G only?

Any sub RM30 prepaid plans makes it look like a plan that no one bothers to consider. Why would anyone bother to subscribe to that (RM30+6%)?

Yes is already offering RM20 for 50GB with unlimited calls
UMobile is offering RM25 for Unlimited 3Mbps with unlimited calls
CD is offering RM25 with 40GB + 30GB hotspot?

Even Hotlink Prepaid makes it look so unappealing.
*
Yeah, I do think it is a joke.

i feel the same with you.
often you will find 5G network to be very slow, congested and high ping while 4G network is alright.
probably due to most ppl their phone network options choose 5G preferred.
but anyway, this is not supposed to be the 5G quality as they advertised initially. hmm.gif  hmm.gif

they even choose Ericsson over Huawei and claimed to have superiority, but seem it is not the case.

for Yes, i think their aim is to decongest their own 4G network and push everything to 5G shared network.
as their 4G can be very congested at certain spot
*
for Yes, their 4g coverage sucks to the max. Therefore when DNB build 5G, it is to their advantage to push 5G plan.
